When I think about all the mysteries that this earthly life entails I just get lost in the wonder of it all. To me the greatest mystery ever is that there is anything at all.I realize we as humans are operating in an infinite universe while at the same time only having a mind that is finite.Therein I believe, lies the reason things are so mysterious at times. No matter what your belief as to how all this life came to be, its still pretty amazing wouldn't you say? Personally I believe that anything is possible no matter how strange it may sound at the time. And if that is the case then we should be able to do or have anything we may desire. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has stated this: If you say something is not possible, what you are really saying is "I don't want it" And you know , he may be right. In the One Creative Mind there is no lesser, no hard,or small, or anything else. In this Mind there is only possibilities! May you and yours this very moment decide what it is you want, then give this Mind a chance to make the thing you desire manifest. I leave you in love, peace, understanding, and friendship.

BEING A CHILD AGAIN

Have you ever thought about what life was really like when you were just a child? I think most all of us have at different times. I know that each of us lived our own childhood and no two are ever exactly alike.But for me I can remember how I just had faith that everything I needed was going to be given to me. And I dont want to confuse the things I needed with the things I wanted because I sure didnt get everything I wanted just the things I needed.I had faith that I would always have a place to stay, clothes to wear and food to eat.Of course I never fully realized just how hard my mother and step dad had to work to do that.We never had a lot of the "extras" in life but always did have the necessities.As an adult I am now even more amazed at my own parents and those who raised their kids in this manner.There is a bible verse in Matthew 18:3 which states Then Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, you must first change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Now I realize that each of us will take our own interpation of that verse as to what it means and I can only tell you what it means to me personally. And that is this--for me to truly live a life that is fulfilling and joyous I must first become as that little child again so I can establish that faith that is necessary for me to accept the gifts that Life offers to me.Just by knowing that Life will supply me everything I ever need I can then rest easy at night knowing all my needs are already fulfilled. And again Im trying not to confuse the things I need with those things I desire.I will end with the following quote from the Science of Mind--To each is given what he(she) needs and the gifts of heaven come alike to all. How we shall use these gifts is all that matters. My fondness hope is that each of you will find your life filled with much love joy peace and understanding. And please as you travel along this path you have chosen try and do something nice for someone today just because you can!

ATTAINING CONFIDENCE

I truly believe that having confidence in anything we desire to do or make happen is of the utmost importance. Also there is a big difference in confidence and false hope. Also a fine line is there between confidence and arrogance! To be confident is a necessity but arrogance is truly a total waste of time as I see it.If we are to have our desires made manifest in this material 3 D world I think we must first align our 2 parts of the mind with what it is we desire. Being confident in our conscious mind will only carry us so far unless we also impress our subconscious mind first.Have often have you failed to see your desires unfulfilled even though you were outwardly confident of the results being in your favor? When that happens I believe it would behoove us to take a closer look at what our subconscious mind really thinks.Its one thing to wish for something good to happen than to be confident in both minds. If we are not confident on that deeper layer of mind then no amout of confidence in the conscious mind will enable us to fully express all the "good" we desire. I think we need to work on our subconscious mind more and learn to really listen to what it is telling you! Thomas Troward once stated :"We must endeavor to impress upon our subjective mind the idea of that which we desire quite apart from any conditions." I must agree with Mr Troward on that one! May all of you find that "inner" confidence quickly and learn to use it to make manifest your dreams! And may you always be on the look out for that old negative arrogance and squash it before it grows outta control. I leave you with thoughts of love, peace, joy, and understanding. ROLLING WITH THE FLOW

I know there have been many times in my life when I reach a point to where it seems I am doing nothing except spinning my wheels and chasing my tail. Getting stuck in a rut sucks! Old memories, old hurts, old false beliefs etc have a way of creeping back into one's mind and causing them to impede the flow of perfect love and Divine Current that otherwise flows easily and effortlessly throughout our daily lives.And when we allow those "old" feelings emotions, beliefs or whatever to become stagnated in our minds we will then find ourselves in a uncomfortable state of being.If we are to fully express the perfection or reflection that we call our ego self I truly believe we must first learn to cleanse our minds from all the "old" hurtful stuff. It sounds easy to do but as you probably know by now it surely isnt easy.As a matter of fact it will be one of the hardest things we ever have to do to become fully recognizant of "who" and "what" we are.The Science of Mind Textbook shares this quote with us:It is only as we allow the Divine current to flow through us on and out, that we really express life. The law of giving and receiving is definite. So may I suggest that the next time you feel unconnected, under loved and under appreciated and all else negative that you take a moment and learn to clear your mind and find out exactly what your "triggers" are that cause you so much pain and sorrow. And I think you will be surprised to find that most of the triggers are caused by "old" hurts and memories.And once you become aware of the real "problem" then you can begin work on solving them. Try it and see if that may help.I mean what do ya have to lose other than feelings of being miserable at times.And try and remember what David Fabricius once said of himself:"I am a river, not a swamp." We are all "rivers" of the Divine Current of life so live each moment and let your love light shine! And today if you will, do something really nice for someone just because you can! "HUGS"

WAITING TO BE HAPPY?

Are you maybe one of those folks who is just waiting fro something to change so you can at last be happy?Well, I hope not! Instead I would hope that you are a person who can truthfully say right now that you are happy no matter the circumstances you find yourself in at the moment. I believe that many times we waste our time and energy "trying" to be happy, instead of just letting go and "being" happy.So if you are by chance waiting for something to "make" you happy may I suggest that you drop all expectations as to what would make you happy and instead go on and reach deep within and "see" and "allow" the happiness that already resides within your heart to express fully and freely right now right here! As Deepak Chopra has written: Nothing creates more unhappiness than failed expectations....... expectations are an attempt to control the future. And as we all should know by now trying to control the future to meet all our expectations can only cause much heartache and broken dreams. Go ahead my friends--Live today for everything it already is! Joy love peace good times etc I now leave you with thoughts of pure and perfect love to you and yours. GREAT SPIRITS

One of my all time favorite people is Albert Einstein. Even tho I never met the man or was around him he still remains a favorite. If I could talk to any person from any era old Albert would be high on my list. Not only was Einstein a genious he was truly a gifted man in many areas of life.He had a knack of really listening to the "ONE MIND" of all creation to find the answers he was seeking at any given time.And of course being a thinker of things outside the box caused many to label him as "odd", "a dreamer" or just plain crazy. I love many quotes from old Albert but my fav is the following: "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." How true Mr Einstein how true! So I hope all of you shall continue on your own personal path to enlightenment even when others would oppose you in your endeavors. When anyone tries to tell you you cant do this or you cant do that or you cant believe this or you cant believe that just remember what old Mr Einstein stated years ago.....great spirits mediocre minds...... Here's to hoping all of you wonderful folks have gotten the new year off to a flying start and that it will remain a year filed with love peace hope joy and enlightenment!

Chris writes his own songs that come from a life that has taken many directions for Chris.The accoustic guitar melodies along with the haunting sounds of the harmonica seem to take one inot the world that only Chris knows.His son Franklin(I think that is his name) is also a talented musician with the guitar. Every member of the band is quite talented in their own right.And if Im not mistaken Chris's wife sings background vocals also. Just wanted you to see that the band is what I call an "Intimate" band that plays so well together and they seem to just be another on e of us ordinary folks. No frills, jumping up and down, burning guitars or that kind of stuff. Just good old music that I would say is kinda a cross with country, blues, and folkrock. Im sure Chris would love to see you visit his website and take a listen to their music.And you can also purchase their music on line.I hope you take a moment to check them out. Even tho they are a small town band they are currently in demand all over the state of Oklahoma. It sure wouldn't surprise me if they wind up making it really big. One of Chris's dear friend who was still in her teen years died last year and he penned a song just for her that he played at her funeral. So much of his soul and spirit and heart went into that song and it shows.I'm hoping that one day after Chris does make it "BIG" he will allow me to write a song of my own for him to sing. ACCEPTING CHANGE

Why is it so hard for us to embrace and accept change when it is inevitability going to come? Wish I had the answer to that one! We must learn to accept change and learn from our mistakes along the way. There was a story about a man who was convinced that he was dead.He went to see a psychiatrist but nothing the doctor told him would change his mind about him believing he was dead. Finally the doctor said to him,"You know that dead people don't bleed, don't you?" The man replied "Yes" The doctor then stuck him with a pin and he bleeds. "Well, what do you know?" said the patient. "Dead men do bleed afterall." That shows just how far we will sometimes go to keep from accepting change.But I believe if we are truly going to be happy then we must take the things that are making us miserable and "change" them. Or a t least accept that we must change our way of reacting to those things so they no longer will have power over us. One of my favorite authors Kahlil Gibran once stated :"I have learned silence from the talkative, tolerance from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind. Yet strange I am ungrateful to these teachers." I think he is trying to tell us that change is necessary but we dont necessarily have to "like" the changes or the ones who brought the changes into our lives. The only thing constant in this life is change so we may as well learn to go with the flow and do the best we can no matter what changes we are faced with. I sincerely hope all the changes in your life will be "easy" to accept and will make you a better human being.I leave you now with thoughts of perfect love, perfect peace, and perfect oneness.May your day be a good one! MIND'S GIFT TO US

What the greatest gift you could ever receive? Would it be lots of money? A perfect romance with your soulmate? A body that never gets sick? What would you wish for?No matter what we "could" wish for I believe the greatest gift is that of a sound mind. If we are blessed with a mind that can see clearly past all the paradoxes and illusions of this 3-D experience we call human life then that is by far the greater gift.For with this mind we can become anything we wish to become! We can have anything we wish for if we learn to use our mind in the proper way. If there is anything you desire in life first see the thing with your "mind's eye" as already being manifest, believe it without any doubt, give thanks for it, and then release the "thing" from your mind to the Universal Mind and wait patiently until it does manifest in this material world.Nothing is impossible with the mind you now have. Learn to use it properly, love it, share it, bless it and take care of it. After all this is the only mind you got as a human being. The Science of Mind has a quote which reads:The mind must conceive before the Creative Energy can produce...Try it. See if you can get it to work for you.Remember- it is done unto you as you believe! ONE MIND

Well as some would say--there is your mind,my mind, his mind, her mind, others mind, subconscious mind, conscious mind, rational mind, irrational mind etc etc.Wow, no wonder it can make one dizzy just trying to decide how many minds there are and how to use each one. But wait a second, What if there is only ONE mind? That's right just ONE MIND. As I see it this is the only truth of it all. One Mind that is used by each of us in the way we discern to use it. Boy, IM sure I could open up a can of worms by declaring there is only ONE MIND and that is exactly what I am saying! I truly believe ONE MIND is all we have. Now how you decide to use that Mind is entirely up to you and I would never try and tell you that my way is the "right" way or for that matter that my way means anything to you. I usually take quite a bit of flack when I say things like One Mind, One GOD in man as man is man. Or that all of us are Gods. Or anything else that goes against some religious beliefs.And I sure am not trying to convince you that your "way" is wrong or anything along those lines. All I am saying is that I personally believe there is only One Mind and that we are all a part of this Mind and the way we use this Mind is what brings each experience to us.Soren Kierkegaard once stated:"There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true." I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.And from the Science of Mind comes this quote: There is no such thing as your mind, my mind, and God's mind. There is only Mind, in which we all "live and move and have our being." This also I agree with.My hope would be that each of you beautiful people can use your mind in a way that will not only enrich your life, but also gently touch other's lives in a way that brings joy and peace to both of you.And while you are at it why not do something nice for someone just because you can! ACCEPTING CHANGE

About the only thing I am sure of when it comes to this earthly world and life is that the only thing guaranteed is that it will change.Nature, Spirit, God, Allah,Buddha, or whatever name you give it will always change. Nothing in this material life stays the same.I agree with the poet Robert Frost who once stated the following:"The only thing Im sure of about life is that it goes on." And I might add that it changes also. Most changes are very subtle some are drastic and many others fall somewhere in between.And it is kinda ironic that most of us human beings resist change instead of embracing it. Even if the change would be "better" for us at times it still "hurts" to take the risk on change and we oft times subconsciously fight change. Seems like being comfortable with things even if they are not what we claim to want is easier for us than to accept the changes as they come along.I was talking with a friend the other day and we were discussing life in general and what it all meant. The two of us both feel that everything is one and that things are just as they are supposed to be right now. My friend did inspire me to think deeply about my own inner convictions and my choice's I've made as a human being.His question was if I believe that everything is perfect right now then why do I and what gives me the "right" to envision something 'different"? As he pointed out this was having me to "judge" that things needed to be changed and therefore were not perfect right now. Its really kinda like an endless loop question for me and I sure dont have the answers but in my journey I have chosen to accept things as they are while at the same time doing what I can to forsee a "better" world where we all walk hand in hand. Life is merely an illusion brought about by unknown truths that have yet to be discovered.At least that is the way I see it.And if this is the case I will continue to try and become the very best human being I can.And I will continue to see in my "mind's eye" a better world a more loving world a kinder world and a world where we all live as one.This is only my "PATH" that I have chosen. Does that make it right for anyone else? I really cant say but I will say I hope that each of you wonderful folks will do your best to bring a little more love, kindness, and light into the world you find yourself in right now. I dont believe any of us have to wait til we die to find "heaven". We have it right here right now just waiting our discovery. TRUCKIN'---GOING HOME

With the help of one of my favorite bands I want to explain how I sometimes feel. This entry could also serve as a tribute to Jerry Garcia who was the founding member(I think) of the band The Grateful Dead. This band played all over the country and had so many loyal followers who were affectionately called "Deadheads". I always loved their music but never had the opportunity to see them perform live.I think my favorite song of their's is the one titled "Truckin'. The words which are to describe the bands life on the road over the years seem to haunt me as if the song was written about my own life--not about traveling here as a person but rather as my travels as a "soul". I will be turning another year older in 3 days and as such Ive come to think more of what awaits me at the end of this earthly life. Not that I havent thought about things like that for many years now as I have always felt a little like I am in the wrong world for some reason and that one day I shall go back home to my "real" home where all is one and one is all.Guess thats why some consider me a "dreamer" I dont know. With a tip of the hat to the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia I will now share some of the lyrics of that song with you and my own meanings will be in parentheses. I do hope you will enjoy the song and at the same time get to know me a little better also.

YOUR PAST GOT YA DOWN MAYBE?

Be honest with yourself for a moment and ask:Is there anythiing from my past that is keeping me from fully enjoying each precious moment I have as a human being? If you listen with really open ears you will probably find out there is lots of stuff from the past that still haunt you in ways as to demean your presence here on earth. Sadly, most human beings tend to carry around all their past mistakes, disappointments, lost loves, golden opportunities gone astray, grudges against others, and on and on I could go. And by doing so it makes their lives a lot less lovable, a lot less caring, and a whole lot more stressful than it should be. How about just trying to relax sit quietly and let your mind wander to the days past and see if you can catch a glimpse of all those old "demons" you still carry needlessly around. And as you find them, right then, on the spot and in the one eternal moment you are now in just let it go. Curse it off if need be, laugh it out if that is easier, shout it out to the moon, write it out on apiece of paper, or do anything you need to to just let it go. All those "OLD" hurts, those grudges, those missed opportunities, all the negative things that are weighing you down and keeping you from flying on the wings of perfect love!If you can do that I can almost assure you that your days will be much brighter, your nights much more peaceful and your entire life a lot less stressful. Please, do yourself a favor and just try it. If it works right away thats great but if you are like me and most others in human form it may take more than one time to really clear out all the negatives. But if you will exert the right amount of time and energy and just keep on keeping on then one day you will arrive at the point of complete void of all things negative.Then your soul will be able to take flight right here right now! Not some later date in an "afterlife" but right now!Of course if you are able to arrive at this state of total Peace and perfect love you will have to continue to practice getting rid of the negatives every day because life will sure give you a bunch of negative s--- to deal with.But once you have experienced this state of "perfect love-perfect peace" you should always feel the "need" to go there again and again. Its not easy for sure but it is attainable. And even if all you get out of it is only one fleeting moment of feeling "perfect love and peace" bel;ieve me it will have been well worth the effort.My hope is that each of you can quickly find this state of "enlightenment" and then be quick to share with the world what it is you have learned! I leave you now with a quote from Martin Sheen who once said:"I'm not asked to be successful, I'm asked to be faithful to myself." May the new week ahead be filled with much love peace and wonder of life for you and yours!

JUST WONDERING

If that is the case I'd sure love to talk with whomever it was. Oh well, I always knew one cannot make everybody happy at the same time! MY SECRET ADMIRER MAYBE?

Well friends once again it seems someone out there thinks I need to learn some lessons or something of the sort.Seems they printed some of my blog writings and sent them anonymously to one of my brothers so he could check on me to see if I am just crazy or what the deal is. This goess back to some time ago when I was writing on the subject of how I believe we are al a part of God and that there is no seperation of any sort between God and I or me or anyone .And as for the course once again some folks misinterpeted what I was sayinig and tried to say I waas claiming to be God myself. Well all I can say is that their interpetation was not what I was saying at all. But that being the case is not what I am talking about right now. What I would like to know is this--If you happen to be the one who felt it necessary to copy my words and send them to a family member I would like for you to tell me why you couldnt have just came to me in the first place. And why hide your idenity? Now I sure cant find fault with my brother who I know happens to love me even if he is pretty sure I am living a life of sin. He has come to me with good intentions to help me "find" the right way to God which happens to be by organized religion according to him. And even if I am slightly put out by having to try and tell folks that I am ok with where I am and who I am I stil can see why someone may want to help "save" me. At least my brother came to me in person to talk and didnt hide behind the cover of an anonymous letter such as the one someone sent him with my writings.What Im saying is directed to the one who did this and here is waht I say to you--If you have a problem with me or what I am doing with my life and my spiritual beliefs then at least confront me in person without hiding. Thats all I ask. I dont aim to change to make anybody more comfortable with my beliefs and I sure as heck will not apologize for doing what I feel right in my heart about doing.All I can say is that if you dont agree with some of the things I say then either confront me personally or just get out of the kitchen entirely. And to all you good people who do understand some of my beliefs Im sure you have been subjected to some of the same kind of things in your life as I have. I dont have all the answers for sure and I dont claim to be God or anyone special but I do ask that as long as I give you the freedom to believe as you see fit then gi ve me the same right. That's all I ask. To those who truly do understand I want you to know how much I appreciate your friendship and unconditional love.

UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES

Take a moment to look within yourself and ask "Am I where I want to be?" Im afraid many of us would probably answer that with a resounding NO! I sure hope that is NOT the case you find yourself in right now. If you can truly say you feel like you are in the "perfect" place for you then I give you props and hope you can stay right there for as long as you want. By asking "where" you are Im not meaning the physical "where" as much as the mental "where". I can ONLY look at myself to answer that question. I cannot answer that question for you as you cannot answer it for me. I have found tho that in my quest for "spiritual" wisdom that it is very easy to delude myself into thinking I am now at the "where" I wish to be.As I look back at my life I can remember several occasions when I truly thought I had arrived at the place I wanted to be never to go back. But each time this has happened to me life then usually picks me up, turns me upside down, shakes the tar outta me, and then drops me someplace I'd rather not be for awhile. It is at those times when I have truly learned the most important lessons from life. Those moments when I am humbled by the power of "life" and have to once again start digging deep within my inner most being to rise up from the ashes of "troubling" situations and find my way back to some spiritual enlightenment. The one thing that I try to keep foremost in my conscious mind is the fact that I am truly an "unlimited" being and that I am capable of changing any circumstances into a learning experience and become a better human being for it. My wish for all of you is that you now find yourself on the path that is bringing you the best of everything and that you are truly fulfilled as a human being. If you do find things are not just "Quite right" at the moment I hope you can remember that you too are an "unlimited" being and have within you the tools necessary to make any changes in your life that you desire.As you begin the new week ahead may you find yourself living in the moment and enjoying life at its very best.I will leave you with a quote from Eric Butterworth who has stated:"We are human in expression, but divine in creation and limitless in potentially." Just taking a quick look at the way things seem sometimes can be really disillusioning. I dont know why but it seems as if human beings have the tendency to see things in a negative light more often than in a positive way. I suppose its partly because we at times take the "good" things in our lives for granted while bemoaning the things we donot have. But it may behoove us all to take another look at things in that positive light. And while looking at the "negative" things we may find the positive in it simply by taking a closer look. Marcel Proust has been quoted as saying:"The voyage of discovery lies not in finding new landscapes, but in having new eyes." So if you are experiencing any "problems" in your life right now why not take another look with the "new eyes" you can look through? And after many tears many laughs and many experiences I once again found love and that is when i met my soulmate whom I have been happily married to for over 16 years now. But youknow what? I still return to hear those words form Delbert every time I start to feel like Im stuck and in a rut. And as always it seems to help me unlock my consciousness so I can once again rise up; from the ashes of "bad" experiences and jump back into the fire. That leap of faith is sometimes all we need. My hope is that right now you find yourself happy and going along filled with joy and celebrating life to the fullest. Nothing and I mean Nothing ever remains the same. I know, I know, you may say some things never change and it at times may seem that way, but believe me everything does change, somehow ,someway sometime. And whether or not the change is for the better or the worse is entirely up to us. You know what I truly love about this life? Well one reason is because no matter how bad or how good things seem at any gi ven moment life is always giving us the opportunity to make it even better. Yep, thats what I said Better! Now thats not to say that every change we go through is a pleasant experience quite the opposite is true lots of times. I have come to find out that the most heart wrenching, the most physically painful, the most mentally exhausting experiences are in fact the ones that will ultimately bring us the most satisfaction and the greatest spiritual growth in our lives. Thats just the way life works. If we let it that is. There are those who absolute refuse to grow and just curse their experiences as "bad luck" or whatever label they attach to the experience.I truly believe that every experience, no matter if we label it as good bad or anything else in between is really another opportunity for us to grow and become the best human being we possibly can. And as we face these challenges from day to day we can either face them with a positive attitude or one of utter disdain which will I think make our experiences "worse" than they have to be. One thing for sure tho is that with each experience, each challenge, each moment we are being transformed into either a "higher" or "lower" conscious being. I would hope that all of us can and will decide to face our daily experiences with anticipations of becoming a more loving, kinder, peaceful, and helpful human being. We're lots more than this human body, lots more than the human mind,lots more than we give ourselves credit for Im sure! I believe we all all made from the One Whole Perfect Spirit that prevades all of life.When we are born into this 3 --D world we quickly lose sight of the light and the truth of who we are. It is then up to us to "remember" who we are and to take the necessary steps to achieve that freedom of knowing. In the Science of Mind it is stated that Man(woman) has the ability to choose what they will do with their life, and is unified with a Law which will automatically produce their choices. I truly believe that in the above song by the late great John Lennon, that he was trying to get us to realize that how we treat others in this life is how we are treated ourselves in the near future. He used the word Karma but the smae principal has been repeated under different beliefs and tenants. One thing for sure tho I do believe is that for every action we take there will be a reaction of some sort. And I do believe if the action we take is a positive one that it will quickly return to us as a positive in our lives. And the opposite is just as true. And if that be the case then I think it would behoove us to be careful about the actions we take toward others. Beware of that Instant Karma that can sometimes knock you right in the face! With that in mind I would hope all of you wonderful people will take a moment and do something nice for someone just because you can. May your tomorrows be excellent ones indeed!

Are you at this moment in the midst of living out your dream? I do hope so. I've often wondered why some folks are considered a great person and others are not. To me it seems we are all one and if true then all of us are great. But again great is just a term given to others as we again try to "label" everybody and every experience instead of just observing. What would we ever do if we didnt have our precious labels to put on others? Anyway getting back to what makes one great I suppose would depend on ones own sense of self-worth and the accolades of others.I tend to agree with Ralph Waldo Emerson who stated the following:"Not in his(hers) goals, but in his transitions is man great." Humm I just wonder, what will you do today that will inspire me to call you a great person? Hey that is an easy one for me to answer! If you will just do something nice for someone without expecting anything in return then I already consider you a "great" person. A POWER TO BECOME AN UNLIMITED HUMAN BEING LIES WITHIN

How would you like to become a human being who had everything they could ask for and even more? It would be great dont you think? Does it seem like to you that this would be impossible to attain this state of being? Is it possible after all to be able to achieve any and every thing your heart desires? Does it seem within your grasp or rather like an unobtainable dream? And if this is a possibility in this life, then how does one get to the point of realizing the truth and then go about the process of living this life of "unlimitless"? Well, I am sure of one thing and that is that you are the only one who can answer these questions about yourself. And I can tell you that in my personal experience I have found that this "dream" can be achieved even if I still have a ways to go before I reach that state. Are there still things I wish for to happen in my life? You bet there is! Im not gonna try and tell you that I have found some mysterious way to fulfill that dream of being an unlimited human being. Yet there are those who claim to know the "secret" as to how to get there but most of those folks are the same ones who will share all their secrets of abundance, great health, good looks, stress free living etc for some of your hard earned money.Dont get me wrong though- if someone truly does kknow those "secrets" I cant really blame them for not just giving it away for free when they can make good money selling it. After all most everything that is worth a great value does not come into our lives without a pricetag on it! And I believe its ok to sell your private "information" to others who are willing to pay for it. The problem I do have though is those folks who promise us the "good" life but after we "pay" for the so called info it turns out to be nothing more than one persons con to split us up from our money. So I would advise to always be careful about who and where you send your money. In todays world where the almighty dollar seems to be the idol we crave it can be easy to fall prey to those who are not above taking your money and running.One thing I do sincerely believe though is that as human beings we are born with an innate way to access our minds in a way that we can then attract whatever it is we want to have made manifest in our experiences.But we must first learn to "unlearn" all the "wrong" things we were taught as a child.Put out of your mind and vocabulary the words can't and won't and maybe and replace those words with I can I will and Im sure. The Universal Mind will hear your words and thoughts and will serve to act upon those thoughts to make manifest those things you deeply believe in. As Sam Keen once stated:"In the moment you become disillusioned with your normal satisfactions, and ask what do I really desire, your soul rather than your ego takes charge of your life." When this happens you are then on the road of discovery and closer to attaining the state of an "unlimited" human being. In conclusion I will share with you the following statement from the Science of Mind Textbook---Marvelous as the concept may be, it is none the less true that man(woman) has at his disposal--- in what he(she) calls their Subjective Mind-------a power that seems to be Limitless.My sincere hope is that each of you will soon discover(if not so already) the road that leads back to one's self and can then find the4 way to live a more fulfilling and joyful life. OBSERVING VS. REACTING

Hi folks. I know I have to be reminded at times to remember to just observe life and not get too caught up in reacting to everything that transpires. It really sounds simple to stop reacting and just observe but I have found it is one of the hardest things to do well as a human being. And that is because human beings are by nature reactive beings.As a new born we are good at observing things without too much judgement but that quickly dissipates as we begin to grow.We quickly learn(and are taught by well meaning adults) to react to everything that happens to us.But sad to say most of the time we are taught to react negatively to lots of things.We are told no, we cant do that, no we will never be able to acxcomplish our goals etc etc.Before you know it we are adults on our own in the world of illusion trying our best to just get by.And when things do not go our way we react in numerous negative ways that affect not only our bodies but minds as well. And very often we will find ourselves feeling miserable without even knowing why. Over the years I have had to "unlearn" lots of things taught to me when I was a child. At the same time I have tried to be better about just living a life of observing more and reacting a lot less. This has helped me to find ways to live a fuller and more enjoyable life. To give you an example of what I mean I will tell you about the way I used to be and the way I am now(at least the way I strive to be) Years ago I was what you would call an aggressive driver. I wasnt reckless but I did get upset way too often when other drivers would do something I considered dumb.Like pulling out in front of me as i quickly approached. Or those drivers who got in the fast lane and slowed everybody else down by not getting over to the slower lane. At those times i would usually react by honking the horn, by getting way too close to their bumper, or just by silently cursing them under my breath. I never had what they call road rage thankfully and never wanted to physically confront the other driver. But I was guilty of letting the circumstances drive up my blood pressure and at times even ruining what had been a pleasant drive up til then.Now when I am confronted by this circumstance instead of reacting to the situation I just observe what is happening and find myself asking questions like "I wonder why this driver is intent on staying in the fast lane when he is not even going the speed limit" Or "I wonder why this guy pulled out in front of me. Did he not see me? Or was he on a phone? etc" and by doing this I manage to keep from getting upset with things and instead remain calm and just allow "life" to "happen". You know it never fails to amaze me as to just how much more easier and beautiful this life is when I just observe and not react. Of course Im not saying we should never react to anything because not only would that be impossible it would probably get us killed. But Im sure you can see what Im talking about. Maybe you can try that for the next day or so and see for yourself if it helps to "uncomplicate" your own life.I now leave you with thoughts of love peace and joy for you and yours.And please try and remember to do something nice for someone today just because you can!

RESPONSIBILITY

One of my favorite authors Richard Bach once wrote:"Every person , all the events of your life are there because you have drawn them there.What you choose to do with them is up to you." And if this is the case ( which I believe is ) that means we can no longer blame anyone or anything for the circumstances we find ourselves in right now. Every one of us must stop playing the "blame game" and as Gandhi said "We must be the change we wish to see....". On this day especially as we remember the terroist attacks on the United States in 2001 may we all "see" the light which burns at the center of our souls and then radiate the pure unconditional love from within to gently touch all life. On a personal note I want to express my thanks for all the brave men and women who have and are still fighting to rid the world of terroism. Yes I am a dreamer but I still dream of a world where all men women and children live as one united in pure love for one another.And if I ever do give up on this dream then my life here will be done. BECOME A BEACON OF LIGHT IN A DARKENED WORLD

I really do love this life I have been priviliged to be a small part of.I find so many wonders that just leave me speechless. This planet is just so awesome. Personally I have never understood how such things as radios, computers, satellites, etc work. I just accept things like that as being a "miracle". At the same time I have also come to see a lot of "darkness" that envelops us humans way too often.And I know that in every life there are times when the darkness seems unbearable and it looks as if the light will never shine again. But all the experiences Ive been through and the situations I have been exposed to have led me to believe that the "Light" will always return unto us when we get our "little ego" selves out of the way and allow the light to shine wherever it wants to. I truly believe that we are ALL a small part of the light that brings all good things to this earth. And we can and should always allow that Light to shine through us as us in every circumstance that we possibly can. For when we allow the "darkness" to envelop us it not only hurts us but it also hurts the entire planet.My hope is that each of us can and will today allow that "LIGHT" to shine and to gently touch each life we connect with.Enjoy the day and try to remember to do something nice for someone right now! PAIN&SUFFERING

One thing for sure is that if you are a human being and live long enough you will experience some pain and sufffering as you travel upon your chosen path. But that's not to say that we can't alleviate or even do away with the pain completely. Its just that as human beings we are prone to learn things the hard way. Why do you suppose so many parents just shake their heads while trying to get their kids to realize that they(the parent) have already learned a particuliar lesson the hard way by enduring pain and suffering, but even though the kids will not listen and will instead choose to learn the same lesson the hard way? Its because we must experience something for ourselves and no matter how many times someone else explains it to us we still cant see it clearly until we have gone through the experience for ourselves. Therein lies the reason we continue to experience more pain and suffering than we need to.But the ray of hope and truth that shines within our souls will show us the lessons without the physical and emotional pain when we learn to listen and truly take heed to that "small still voice" that speaks to us when we get our "little bloated ego" selves out of the way long enough.There are always many ways to "learn" the lessons of life we need without so much as a dusting of emotional and physical pain. It is a learned asset and I think we must take time to get to truly "know" ourselves. In the Science of Mind Textbook it states that this world is beginning to realize that it has learned all it should through pain and suffering. But even so I personally think we as a human family have a ways to go before we can really stop all the pain. But we have the potential to do that and I sincerely hope we can find the right methods to get this done quickly. And I hope all of you now find yourselves having learned "all" you need to by suffering any pain. May the future lessons be ones not fraught with pain and suffering. FINDING OUR CENTER

Why is it we oft times feel depressed, sad, hurt, angry, or any other negative emotions? There can be many reasons I'm sure but I do believe all of these negative emotions can be overcome when we find our true center and attune our every thought within that center of perfect peace, perfect love, and perfect understanding.I think we must look within our own hearts and subconscious minds to again reunite with that sacred center. But no matter how long we have felt "removed" from this center you can be assured it is still there. Always has been and always will be. Our lives can be made so much more content and joyful and better in every regard if we take the time to find and connect and remain attuned with this center of our true being. Ralph Waldo Trine once stated the following:"To find one's center, to become centered in the Infinite, is the first great essential of every satisifactory life." I have to agree with Mr. Trine on that! My sincere hope is that each of you have right now found yourself totally immersed with the Infinite Sacred Center of your being and that your life is one filled with much love peace and joy. Human beings are a funny sort I do believe.We make things harder than they should be and then blame something or someone else when things dont go as we want them to. And after that we go back again and retry expecting a different outcome even though we are still doing things the same way! Go figure that one out! And of all the things we want to understand the most is the thing that really is the easiest. That being ourselves.We try to figure out what makes us tick, why we do things in a particuliar way, why we like the things we do and detest the other things.And more often than not we continue to look "outside" of ourselves for the answers we seek.And all the while we already have all the answers lying in sweet repose deep in our subconscious minds. The problem as i see it is we are looking for things while not realizing that we are the "answers" we are seeking or as its been said what we are looking for we are looking with! To do an honest assessment of who we are and what we are here for does take a lot of deep soul searching and we must come face to face with our doubts and fears and get past those to truly find the "bliss" of the soul where all answers are found. And yes we can find help from others in our search but we must always be mindful that anything we "hear" or or told by another is just their truth expressing and it doesnt necessarily answer our questions for us. It always comes down to the fact that we have to closely examine our own minds and then maybe we can find those answers we crave.I do hope all of you wil have a truly terrific weekend ahead. I agree! And I feel that the Infinite Spirit which is flowing through all life as life is all of us right here right now. Sure our little ego "selves" will one day fade into the nothingness of the land that once was and we will again return to the perfect spiritual state of being with the Infinite One. If this is the case tehn I think it would behoove all of us to be a little kinder, a little more loving and a little more understanding of each individual lifeform as they appear in our lives as friends, lovers enemies, or whatever label you decide to use.What a terrific world this could be if everyone loved everyone else and went out of their way to be nice to everybody.I surely hope each one of you will have a truly blessed new week ahead of you. OVERCOMING ILLUSION USING MEDITATION

I surely hope all of you are feeling well and that life is bringing to you all those things you desire. I have found that in this 3 dimensional world which is just chocked full of illusions and paradoxes that it can be just a little tricky at times for one to stay attuned with their center of being or consciousness. And therein I believe lies the root cause for most of humanity's struggles. For when one of us becomes distracted from their "true" self it not only hurts that person but it affects all of us in a negative way.Now you may think that another's problems or lack of inner peace woujld not affect you personally I would have to disagree.All thoughts whether positive or negative carry the same effect on us as human beings. This is often referred to as the collective consciousness of the world. In much the same way as stated by others before me akin to the belief that when a butterfly flaps its wings it also affects the world everywhere.To me that is like the universal law which says for every action there will be a reaction- and whether or not the action is positive or negative it makes no difference to the Law of life. This Universal Law only knows to be true to Itself and cannot do any thing other than that. I wish we as humans could be more like that.For if we can ever reach the stage of enlightenment where we truly know who we are then we could be as the Law and only be true to who we really are. But in this world of illusion there are just so many things that we allow to affect us to the point that we "forget" who we are and what we should be doing in this world.From the time we are born we begin to lose sight of who we really are. This usually happens because we are "taught" by oft times well-meaning adults as to how we should live and what we should deem important. And on top of those teachings we are often told(and most times incorrectly) how to go about fulfilling our innate desire to discover who we truly are and how to rediscover our spiritually.From the moment we are "born" in this world, we begin to quickly lose sight of who we are and what is really important to learn as we grow.Personally I cant buy into a belief that says we are all born in "sin". That really doesnt feel anywhere close to being "right" to me. But Im not knocking that belief for those who do believe that because I know many many people who do believe just that. And that's ok by me if they are truly happy and feel secure with that belief. Because it is surely not my intention to tell anyone their belief system is "wrong". This world is full of so many different beliefs and religions and rituals etc that it is no wonder so many of us have a hard time trying to get back to our center where the answers to all our questions remain.Many try to find that place by looking "outside" of themselves. I think we should look "inward" instead. I also dont mean to put down any religion but I have found that for me at least religion just doesn't answer my questions. If I may say though any thing you hear or read from anyone you are only hearing their "truth". And their truth is colored by their own personal convictions and circumstances. Just as my beliefs are colored by my perceptions of life.And personally I don't think any man or woman is any more a man(woman) of God than I am. Sure they may carry a title of Reverend, Pastor,Elder, Preacher, Priest etc but to me that doesn't make them any smarter or more versed in spiritually that you and I are.They are mostly teaching the thngs that have taught to them and thats fine in my way of seeing as long as it doesn't make them think their way is the "only" way to find spiritual enlightenment.And speaking of finding spiritual enlightenment for me meditation has been one of the most useful tools I have found to aid me in shaping my spiritual understanding. Most everyone has heard ofmeditation and lots of folks use this method. To me at least when I need to find an answer or just get back to my calm "center" of being this tool has been so very important.Meditation sounds easy but I know from experience that it can be rather trying at times to get alone and be still long enough for it to do any good.If you have tried this method Im sure you know what I mean. If you haven't tried it yer may I suggest you give it a try. There are many forms of instruction on meditation real handy.Villa Faulkner Page has stated the following:"Contact through prayer or meditation or the silence releases one from the influence of sensation, emotion, objective or mortal thought, desire, and will." And I really believe if one is to find this place of inner peace and tranquility it is imperative to get the mind off the aforementioned items that Villa used in that sentence.And a quote from the Science of Mind says this:{Spiritually} springs from within. coming from that never-failing fountain of life....... So there are my thoughts on meditation and finding ones center. And I sincerely hope all of you have already discovered the "real" you that is oft times misdiagnosed as your "ego" self and vice versa. LOOKING FOR THE GOOD

What has this day brought into your life may I ask? And looking back upon all the things that arrived at your doorstep how many of those do you accept responsibility for? I do believe we are constantly drawing into our "reality" those things which we are keeping closest in our everyday thoughts.If this is true then it makes sense that if one is constantly thinking of negative things then life will be more than happy to bring them more negative experiences. And just the opposite is true also,, that is if one thinks and mentally accepts "good" things to appear then life does that for them as well. And if you believe that then I would say that we all need to become more aware of ALL our thoughts at all times. Even those thoughts or words we use even in a joking manner will be taken in by the Universe and then sent back to us in a form that matches our thoughts or words. For example if one would say I bought a lottery ticket but I know Im just giving my money away or maybe say I just dont ever win anything etc. Then life will take those thoughts or words even if we were only kidding and act on them as if it was truly what we wanted. Life knows no difference about "truth" or "lies" or Jokes" etc it only has to do according to the deepest thoughts we harbor.If I may suggest take a few moments and look deeply inside your subconscious and try to find your deepest feelings and thoughts about your life. It may take a long time and lots of work but if you can do that then I would say you are on the path to understanding and that your life will begin to be the one you have always wanted. Just beware of the "illusions" and "paradoxes" of life and also beware of the beliefs of others who will tell you their way is the "only" way to enlightenment. Take for instance these words of mine I have written in this blog. I firmly believe I am following my "path" of enlightenment and also sharing my "good" with others. But I am also aware that my beliefs are just that-MINE! And with that being the case I know that my beliefs are surely not the only way to find enlightenment and I would never tell you to follow me and just accept my words as truth.You should first think upon what I say and then listen to your heart and see if you can hear a small "inner voice" that says- yes this does make sense to me and I am going to try and see where this leads me. On the other hand if that voice says to you this guy is full of B/S and his beliefs are crazy then I would by all means say to you- thanks for taking the time to listen and Im sorry you dont see what I am trying to share and that is ok too. Because I believe there are many different "ways" for us to attain enlightenment. My way is "right" for me but may be entirely "wrong" for you.I would like to share a quote from Christian D. Larson who states:"We must decide where we are to live, think, and act when we use our faith, speak the word, affirm the true, and vision the perfect." And one line from the Science of Mind Textbook which to me holds so much truth is this:What untold grief of heart might be relieved by words of cheer and forgiveness. How true my friends is that! Here's hoping that all of you wonderful folks are having a terrific weekend loaded with lots of fun, love, peace, and all good things. YOU GOTTA GIVE TO RECEIVE

Whatever it is that you desire more of whether it may be love, money,happiness or whatever else, you must first learn to give away that which you already posess to then be able to receive more. As the old saying goes Life Abhors A Vacuum! It may sound opposite as to what your ego self is telling you but there is a Natural Law of the Universe that has no choice but to give back to you that which you first give away. That may sound like a paradox but then again I do believe this world is just full of paradoxs and illusions. So if you want more love in your life--give more love to others in an unconditional way and Im sure you will receive more love back than you ever imagined.Its a little harder I know to give away money when you find yourself unable to even pay your debts but with faith and confidence you can learn to accept that by giving you are receiving more. As Daniel Boone Herring states:"Let us begin to see what we can give, and start the limitless well of refreshment within our own souls to flowing outward." I sure hope all of you are enjoying a great moment right now and that the following moments will bring even greater pleasure for you and yours. REALIZING WE ARE ALL ONE

As human beings it is so easy for us to fall into the trap of thinking we are alienated from our brothers and sisters and even our Creator. Often times we get "lost' in our thinking due to circumstances that seem to tell us we are apart from all the "good" we desire. We see others as being "apart" from us when in reality they are a part of us.Funny what a little space in that word does--a part or apart. See what I mean. In my humble opinion all of us yes all life forms are a part of each other. We are made from the same substance, and animated by the same Spirit that has created All things both big and little. I can honestly say I feel connected to each soul here on earth while at the same time feeling the same connection to our animal friends, to the sky, the ocean, the flowers, and on and on.Our differences are those we "learn" as we grow up and are "taught" the things others think we should assume as being the truth. But I would say just beware what anyone tells you is the truth because they are only expressing their truth and it may not be right for you at this time. We must all arrive at our own personal truths by learning to silently listen with our spiritual ears and seeing with our spiritual eyes. And most importantly I do believe is for us to learn to truly listen to what our hearts are telling us. This 3 dimensional world we call home is just a haven for paradoxes and illusions. It then becomes our task to discern what is truly the truth and what is merely an illusion or paradox.This I believe is a life long task and we can learn something new every day if we keep our minds open to what the Universe is telling us.May all of us learn to accept each other as a brother or a sister and then maybe we can begin to treat each other a little better. C. F. Potter states the following:"If you can feel yourself a child of the Universe, or as some put it, a son (or daughter) of God, you will never feel unrelated anywhere." And from J.B. Goldstone comes this nugget of truth:"To improve our circumstances, we must first increase our knowledge and enlarge our consciousness." The Science of Mind states this:Life is a motion picture of subjective causes. And also from the SOM comes this statement-Suffering may be salutary in that it leads us to a place where we learn that it is unnecessary! LIVING IN HARMONY

What does the word harmony mean to you? Webster's New World Dictionary defines harmony as follows:1. pleasing agreement of parts. 2. agreement in ideas, action, etc 3. pleasing combination of musical tones. So using these definitions we can say harmony is a "good" state of being. Those times when you find yourself feeling happy full of life, and ready to conquer the world you could say you are in harmony with life. And just the opposite would be true when you are struggling with the details of every day living. With this being said doesnt it make sense of us to strive to find a way where we can get our lives in harmony with the Universal Laws. By doing so we are then able to relax, set our intentions to accomplish whatever it is we want to see made manifest. And I would also say that every moment spent in disharmony is time spent unwisely except for the fact that we can take those times and learn some lessons. I firmly believe that all things in mind and spirit as well as the physical are meant to be in harmony. And it is omnly when we "lose" that state of harmony that we really suffer. Elizabeth Carrick-Cook states:" All things return to harmony, for harmony is the natural state of being; upon it rests the principal of mathematics, of music, of all intelligent understanding." I agree with that statement wholeheartedly! And the Science of Mind Textbook says this: A sense of real completion can come only to that soul that realizes its Unity with the Great Whole. I also agree with this statement. I sincerely hope that each of you right now find yourself in total harmony with all of Life and that you are feeling on top of the world.If this is the case then may I suggest you share some of your "goodness" with at least one of your fellow brethren of this world. If on the other hand you are not feeling the "connection" or harmony with life then I am sending some positive thoughts to you right now in hopes that your "fog" will be quickly lifted and that you can once again attain the state of inner harmony with all of life. BEING IN THE MOMENT

You've probably heard that before some time or another. Just be in the moment. Sounds easy doesn't it? But if one looks closely it really isn't that easy to do. I mean its easy enough to tell yourself Ok I'm gonna just stay in this moment and enjoy for awhile but after a few moments at best we usually find our minds once again filled with chatter about what happened yesterday or what we are planning on doing tomorrow. And as soon as that happens we are no longer "in the present moment". Instead we have crossed the threshold and entered our minds either into the past or the future. But in reality all we truly do have is this "one eternal moment" and if we can find out how to stay in the moment more often we will surely find our lives more fullfilling and a lot less stressful. We all know we cannot change the past. No matter how much we wish we could we know it is not possible yet we spend so much time thinking of the past and usually beating ourselves up for it! And if we are not thinking of the past we are usually thinking of the future. And as I see it there really is no future its only an illusion, cause when tomorrow does come it isnt the future it is the "NOW" that 1 Eternal moment. I know just how "hard" it can be to quiet the mind and enter that state of grace where th only thing thought of is the moment we find ourselves but it can be done. Give it a try and just let your mind be free of the past and the "future" for once and truly learn to "BE" and just let your soul and mind be absorbed in the "NOW" I've had people tell me they have no time to be in the moment--there is too much too do- but I have to disagree. If you are reading this right now then you may be in the Moment and your mind completely on what it is you are reading. Whenyou get enrapted in a good movie or book you ten dto be in the moment. So dont tell me you dont have the time to try cause you do if you really want to.And hopefully when you do you will find it to be such a respite form life s troubles and stress you will be sure to take a moment every day to just "be" My hope is that all of you will find the same peace I have found in my own soul by doing this on a regular basis. BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF

It is so extremely difficult in today's world for any of us to be really true to ourselves.More often than not we bend and alter our own true desires so we can make others happy along the way.Most of these changes we make for others we do in love as a form of sacrifice to show the other one that we care enough to change and bend ourselves to accommodate their feelings. This is I believe very normal and even healthy in most regards but we must be careful that we dont give away all of our desires and hopes just to please others. Relationships call for the practice of give and take but it must be on a level playing field.If all we do is give give gi ve and give then we will surely one day find ourselves full of resentment toward the one or ones who we have been giving. We must learn to take some along the way and do what we need to do to feel we are fulfilling our mission here on earth.This game of give and take with others is often tricky and can be very upsetting.I believe we all must first take heed and listen to our own hearts as to what we should gi ve away and what we should keep for ourselves.Whatever your dreams are I do hope you will not let them go undiscovered because of what someone else wants or expects of you.Any thing your heart speaks to you to do then I would say do it and the rest be damned! As V. Manley Ayers states:"The individual's quest for divine satisfaction is the quivering of the compass needle, which is never still until it finds its North." I will leave you now with a thought from the Science of Mind which says; Let each of us resolve to be true to his(her) inner light, true to the truth as he (she) understands It." WHAT PATH DO YOU NOW FIND YOURSELF UPON

Do you ever wonder just how it came to be that the path of life you are on doesn't seem to quite fit the bill? Hopefully, you can honestly say the path you are on at this moment is the one you have chosen to bring you the life lessons you need to experience. Many times we as humans get so engrossed in our ego thinking and ego ways of doing things we literally "forget" that we can and are able to choose the path that will bring us the most love, the most joy, the most enlightenment, the most of all "good" things we can imagine. WE literally get lost in the ways of this illusionary 3-D world and fall victim to life's circumstances. Then we either get disheartened or angry or just disgusted and give up on trying to improve our lot in life.Its happened to me on several occassions and even though Im not proud of that fact I have learned to accept that this too is ok as long as I finally learn whatever lessons there are for me and then be able to get back upon the path I choose--not the path someone else or even life itself chooses for me. And when I do reclaim my Power and choose the path I want I can then really really enjoy every moment and take it all in as a learning experience. One thing about this life for sure is that it is filled with an untold myriad amount of paths for us to choose from.One think I personally have learned the "hard" way is that another's path may be great for them but if I try to just copy their path and do as they say I should do then I have always wound up being lost again. I truly think that each individual has to make their own personal choice as to which path to take.And another person's path that brings them inner contentment and joy could easily be another's path to downright torture. So I feel it is so very important to choose wisely as to which path to journey upon and if one finds that path not to be fulfilling then be not afraid to jump off and begin another path completely.One of my favorite authors is Carlos Castenada and in his book "The Teachings of Don Juan"(No not the womanizer Don Juan , rather the old Native American medicine Man Don Juan) he states that one only has one question to ask concerning the path he or she has embarked upon, and that is to ask if the path has Heart. If it does then the path is definitely the right one for the time being.Might I suggest you take a few moments, relax, free your mind of all thoughts(the best you can) and then ask yourself that question------Does the path I am now on have Heart... then listen quietly as Spirit gently whispers the answer to the question. My sincerest hope is that each of you will be able to honestly say to yourself---Yes, my path does indeed have Heart! For if you can say yes to that then I would have to say keep on keeping on my friend! I now leave you with vibrations of peace, love, joy, and healing. Try to remember that you can make a difference in this life by just doing one little act of random kindness for someone. I hope you will quickly spread some love and joy and peace to someone you may just happen to pass by on the street.It only takes a fleeting moment to do something nice for someone.And I sincerely hope your path will connect with mine somewhere down the road so I can say hi and give you a big hug. Just think about that. Wouldnt it be great indeed! And yes, I am a dreamer but as the late great John Lennon once said..."You may say I'm a dreamer but Im not the only one, and I hope someday you will join us, and the world will live as one." THE GREATEST POWER

Ralph Waldo Emerson states in his work"The Over-Soul" Man is a stream whose source is hidden. I agree with old Mr Emerson.Folks look for this Power, this God, this Allah, This Spirit, This whatever you wanna call it, in all kinds of places but seldom find it. Why is this? I surely cant say for sure but I will instead relate the following story I once heard. There were once 3 wise and worldly women who were given the task of where to place the greatest power in the universe. The first woman wanted to place it on top of the highest mountain. But they soon agreed this would not work because too many people would find this power and possibly misuse it.The second woman wanted to hide it in the deepest ocean. But again they ruled that out for the same reasons.The third woman said "Let us put the greatest power of the universe within each individual. No one will ever think of looking for it there." This fable says to me that if we truly want to discover God, or Spirit, or Universal Mind etc we should begin our search by looking deep within our own minds and soul. And I think that is where it will be found! My hope for all of you wonderful folks is that your search will quickly bring to you the discovery that we are all ONE. A NEW BIRTH

In the Bible it talks about being born again. As a child I never could understand what this meant. With all the dogmas of religion and all the different interpetations of the Good Book I was confused as to how anyone could be reborn.Now as a grown amn who tries to think for myself and get away from all the things I accepted without question as a child I can see more clearly.The rebirth is one of a metaphysical nature that occurs within ones mind.My favorite verse in the Bible is Romans 12:2 which states:Be ye not conformed to this world but be ye renewed by the transforming of your mind. And that is what I try to do in my everyday life. I no longer just accept things others tell me as truth because I now now ones truth is just another's folly.I do believe with all my heart though that when one does experience the "rebirth" of mind they will then realize we are alll ONE. ONE! No matter what another believes what they wear what they look like where they go to worship or any thing else changes the face we are all ONE. And if we could all only grasp this truth we could then bring about the changes necessary to make this earthly home Heaven right now right here! No need to wait for a Rapture, no need to wait until we die, no need to wait for any reason. Imagine Heaven right here right now! You may not agree with my beliefs and that's ok too.All I ask is that you dont condemn me for what I do believe.And no matte what it is you do belieev there is no good reason as to why you cant be nice to everyone, treat each one with respect and dignity, and help others along the way.As the late great John Lennon once said in song "Just give peace a chance" I leave you now with a quote from Meister Eckhart who states:"To grasp God in all things---this is the sign of your new birth." My sincerest wish for each of yu is that the new week ahead will be a truly great one for you and yours!

GAINING WISDOM

I truly do believe that life forces a certain amount of wisdom on us whether we want it or not.And those bits of wisdom which lie buried in our subconscious mind like nuggets of gold buried in the mountains can turn our lives around for the good we seek.. I believe if we truly want to experience real freedom we must first attune our minds to the Infinite Mind which I call Spirit and allow Its wisdom to flow into our conscious mind so we can begin to live our lives using the Divine Mind as our map so to speak.If we continue to stand steadfast to our old worn out beliefs about life then we will never be truly enlightened.May I suggest to those who are truly looking to expand their thinking and start living life to the fullest that you take a few moments every day, get to a quiet place, relax, clear your mind of all things and just allow the Infinite to speak Its truths to you. I am continually amazed at the bits of wisdom I keep receiving whenever I choose to listen to Spirit and keep my "old" beliefs out of the way. I do hope you will try it at least once. In his work "The Divine Romance" Yogananda states:"Spirit is the infinite reservoir of wisdom." And from the Science of Mind comes this quote: Divine Mind contains all knowledge and wisdom, but before It can reveal Its secrets, It must have an outlet. I hope you will make yourself that outlet today. Be happy live well and remember to do something nice for someone today!

EXPRESS YOUR CREATIVITY

When we fail to fully use and express our innate creativity we will find ourselves feeling less than fulfilled and oft times quite miserable without even knowing why. Creativity is our Creator's way of expressing through us as us.If you want to feel fully functional and put some good back into this world might I suggest you take the time to express your creativity in any way you can. It is up to each of us to first find that creativity and then to use it to share our gifts with the world. Doing so will definately help you to find inner contentment and joy.In their book Spiritual Literacy, Frederic & Mary Ann Brussat state:"Creativity is a pathway to the sacred." I wholeheartedly agree! And the Science of Mind Textbook states: We should expect the best, and so live that the best may become a part of our experience. ARE YOU REALLY LISTENING?

Let's face it. This world is a busy one. And a loud one! Seems like at every turn someone is clamoring for our attention wanting something.And we spend so much of our time speaking trying to get across our message to others. Talking comes cheap for most of us but the art of listening it seems has become a lost art.If we were meant to talk more than we listen then why didn't our Creator give us two mouths and one ear instead of the other way around? When we talk we are only putting out what we think is the truth, but when we truly listen , then that is the times when we learn.I knowIi talk way too much at times but I have learned to listen a little better than I used to.I feel it is especially important for us to learn to listen with our "inner ears" to truly find the nuggets of spiritual truth that are constantly trying to get through to us as we hurriedly run along in our daily lives. The one thing I would tell those who are struggling with any kind of troubles and worries is for them to take at least One day a month and get out in nature and just"be" For that one day just think only of all the beauty they see in nature and really listen to all hte beautiful sounds they hear. And most importantly listen for that "Small, Still, Inner Voice" that will silently whisper life's truths to them.Just try it if you would like to see what i am talking about Its worth a try at least I hope it is for you. I will leave you with a quote from Ecclesiastes 3:1--"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven" And another quote from the Science fo Mind Textbook which states:I am now entered into the Secret Place of the Soul where complete quiet reigns supreme, and where God talks to me." Im sure most would agree with this simple yet profound truth.And that being the case it seems to me we would all be lots better off if we chose to only do deeds we can be proud of and those that not only help us better our lives, but also to help another along the way. Here in Kentucky and states across the USA we have already seen tornados, thunderstorms, floods, and other acts of Mother Nature create havoc resulting in the loss of lives, property,farm land and numerous other things such as peace of mind. This has always been with us as we have never in all our discoveries found out how to harness Mother Nature so that it doesn't create such havoc. Its been this way since the earth was formed all those years ago and it will always be thus Im sure of.Whatever your beliefs there is no way to find a lot of solace when you see innocent people lose their homes and all their possessions in one quick swoop of a fire, tornado, hurricane or whtever else may happen at any moment.And then there is the loss of all the lives including men women children good or bad or somewhere in between.About the only good I can see is that when one of these disasters happens people are quick to offer assistance to those affected in a negative way. The outpouring of love is quite wonderful to behold and Im wondering why it takes such a disaster for us to show our love for our fellow human beings.I am personally against all wars but I do know that at times one must fight to defend themselves.Its such a shame tho when I see our government spend so much money to fund wars that if kept here in the country we could use the money to get ourselves out of debt and have enough left over to see that all of us had a place to live and health insurance and all the things one needs to live a life of happiness. Why cant all human beings see that war is not the way to settle anything-it is only a waste of lives money and resources.I'd love to see all countries live in peace, all wars ended, and everyone living life in peace. Yes, I am a dreamer I know but maybe one day we will all realize that all we truly do need is love. I sincerely hope all of you are doing well as I've missed interacting with all of you these past few weeks.I hope you all enjoy a safe fun filled weekend! VACATION TIME

IT'S STILL RAINING

Here in Paducah Ky I live right in the middle of the heartland which has also been aptly dubbed torando alley this time of year. I am continually amazed at the constant thunderstorms,tornados, flooding and such just about every year in the spring. Yet I continue to choose to live here knowing full well the weather patterns will probable bring much of the same year after year. This year has been exceedingly difficult as it just doesn't want to stop raining.We are flooded and the ground is saturated and the rivers(Ohio, Mississippi, Tennessee, Clarks, and th reat of them are full. Our city has put up the floodgates to hold back the floodwaters and keep it from devasting our beautiful city.The surropunding small towns and counties are in even worse shape than Paducah is.Many folks are watching as their homes begin to be even more threatened by the rising waters. Some have been evacuated while some are staying the course and doing what they can to protect their property.And guess what, Its still raining more today with more in the forecast.Countless people caught up in strife worry and consternation as to why they are subjected to such difficulties.And yet life goes on. I am happy to see all thefolks who are volunteering their time and effort to help sandbag homes and clean up some of the debris ande sucgh as that. The community works great together to hel p us all make it through thte troubled times.A couple of years ago it was the ice storm and this spring it is going to be the flooding.Mother Nature seems to be in a serious bad mood and is spreading destruction all over the world , not just here in Kentucky, Alabama, Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri and all htte other states. The one thing from all this tha treally bothers me is when I hear otherwise intelligent people saying the weather is God's way of punishing the unjust and the sinners. Come on I mean how inane is that thinking. Yet it still goes on. And I will probably get a littel flack for saying so but what the hell I cant help it.Blaming some far away God for all the troubles is like saying the Devil made me do something "bad". And you know how I feel about the belief in a devil!It also makes me wonder when I hear folks "praying" to God to help get us through this weather "mess". If God hears all the prayers why then does He spare some folks housess and property and even lives and then turn aroung and not answer the prayer of some and just let theri homes be washed away. Or blown away. Why would God pick and choose whi ch one to "save" and which ones to not answer the prayers? Think Ill just stay of the opinion that the ONLY prayer that makes any sense at all is the prayer that just says Thank You! My heart and best wishes do of course go out to all the families who are having to deal with the loss of their homes and ways of life and I do hope they will survive and be able to start over after the "storms" have past.And my hope for all of you is that you are safe and that yoi have a home to live in and that you will remember to help those who are not as fortunate.

THE DEVIL'S AUCTION

As most of you may know I personally do not believe in the Devil.I surely don't think the Mastermind of all Creation would ever have allowed an entity such as Lucifer to exist. But for today's entry I wanted to share this story called the Devil's Auction which was written by a devouted Christian Scientist named William Rathvon who penned this story almost 100 years ago.Whether you personally believe in the Devil or not I believe the story still has many truths which I hope you will enjoy.
"It was once announced that the Devil was going out of business and would offer his tools for sale to whoever would pay his price. On the night of the sale, they were all attractively displayed, and a bad-looking lot they were. Malice, envy, hatred, jealousy, carnality, deceit, and all the other implements of evil were spread out, each marked with its price. Apart from the rest lay a harmless looking, wedge-shaped tool, much worn and priced much higher than the other tools."
"Someone asked the Devil what it was. "Thats discouragement," was the reply.

Do you think life is fair? Well, I don't! Maybe fair is only in the eye of the beholder but Ive seen time and time again things that just don't sit too well with my sense of fairness. Why do good people get taken advantage of by those who just dont give a damn about anyone else but themselves? Why do people who treat others in a fair and unbiased way get trampled on by egotistical people who think they are always right? Why do people who place their complete trust in others to do the right thing get knocked down to the ground repeatedly? Why do law abiding peaceful folks fall prey to the thugs who rob cheat and steal? Why do so called businessmen that cheat their customers get away with it while the customer is the one who suffers? Why do the thieves and cheats live a life filled with riches while the honest man barely gets by? I sure don't have the answers to these questions and doubt if you do either. But one thing I do know is no matter what others throw into our lives it is entirely up to us as to how we "chew and digest" those things. Shall we allow them to turn us into a bitter person who just withdraws from society and become a crusty old fart or do we continue to treat others as we want to be treated and even when we get shafted have enough courage and love inside our hearts to forgive and continue to try and be the very best human being we can? That choice is the one that will either help us to grow in Spirit or to become just one more "victim" of life's circumstances. My hope and wish for each of you wonderful people is that you will always be able to call upon that inner strength when "bad" things happen and that you will continue to be a kind caring and loving person who brings sunshine into this often times darkened world. Freedom! The very word itself rings out with a thunderous vibration. Of all the things one strives for,freedom, I do believe is the most sacred of all. If one cannot be free then what is the use of even being here in this world? I do consider myself very fortunate in that I was born in the UnitedStates of America which is one of the more free countries inthe world.But even though we have a constitution which gives all Americans the right to freedom it sure doesn't always seem like we are truly free.Our government is elected by the common people but does that mean all of us "common" people are truly free. I dont think so personally.I sure don't agree with lots of what our government does and how they operate but I still think it is by far one of the better governments. The biggest "problem" with our elected officials is that they are so far out of touch with us common folks.The politicians live by completely different rules than all of us do.They set their own pay scales and perks and do not have to be dependant on Social Security or a private 4011 k p;an. After serving one term they have enactedlaws that they will be forever taken care of financially with pensions they set up for themselves.Dont guess i can blame them for doing that. I suppose if I had a job and could set my own salary and benefits Id do the same. But Im gettingoff track here since I meant this entry tobe about finding freedom in an unfree world.Its hard to do but can be done if one takes the time and effort to think about all thats really important to them.Being free to me means that I can come and go as I wish and that as long as Im not breaking any laws or doing immoral stuff no one will try to take that from me.This crazy world we live in seems to try and take us down roads that we really dont wish to go.We become so focused on making money that we forget that everyone else is our brother and sister and we take advantage of them just to further our own selfish desires.Why is the price of everything so high these days?I think it is simply because of greed.Everybody wants as much as they can get and damn everyone else.Im just glad that I've learned not to be that way.I maynot have much in material wealth but I am free. As free as I could hope to be anyway.I read a quote from Gautama Buddha that I will leave you with today.He states:"As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world, having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world." My sincerest desire for each of you is that you will quickly find total "Freedom" in eaqch area of yor life and that you will be quick to help others find theirs.Until then keep on smiling and do something nice for someone just cause you can!

FAITH

You gotta believe! Anything you want to do or see happen you first gotta have faith that it can and will eventually show up.One thing about faith tho is that it works both ways. By that I mean if you go around thi nking "bad" things a re gonna happen then this misplaced faith will make those "bad" things happen. It seems that for many of us it is easier to have faith in "bad" things instead of the "good" ones. Todays entry is a little different so please bear with me.I was awake most of the night(couldn't sleep cause the air conditioning in the house quit working and it was 85 degrees in here even with the windows open and the overhead fan running.It became one of those nights when sleep just wont come and then my mind starts running all over the place. The main thing that was bothering me happened yesterday. It was sunday and when I got out of bed it was already in the 80's in the house and the air unit would not cool. It just blew out warm air.Now knowing that it was gonna get hotter quick I scrambled trying to figure out what I could do to temporally get the A/C working.Because it was sunday I knew I wouldnt be able to call a repairman without costing me an arm and a leg so I suffered thru a miserable sunday and sunday night.Thankfully here on monday morning a weather front came thru and rained and cooled things down. Now its ok here in the house.And Ive got a good man coming out just as soon as the rain stops. Probably will have to get a new unit and hopefully it will keep us coo lthis hot summer coming up. I knew I should have taken that A/C course at the tech school!

Yesterday while I was looking for some things I had misplaced I came upon this piece titled "COMES THE DAWN" I do not know who wrote this and I am not sure how I came to have a copy of it. I think, but Im not sure, that a dear friend of mine gave this to me way back in the early 90's while I was going through some very rough times in my personal life. But no matter how or why or where I came upon this I felt it is worth sharing with all of you. You may have seen this before but it never hurts to reread something that is so true. I do hope you wil enjoy.

LOOKING BEYOND APPEARANCES

I have found out in this life that many of the things we see often times turns out to be completely different than we supposed at first glance. Its really amazing that each of us can see the "same" thing happen but it means totally different things as we attach our own perspectives to the thing itself. And I suppose that is why things are so often confusing to us as a whole. As an example, two people can look at the exact same picture and yet see two totally different things. Even in the colors.What if, say a person is so called "color blind" and cannot see certain colors as the rest of us would. Can we say for sure their "realization" of the color is "wrong" and ours is "right"? If they can not see the color as the same as us does it change the realization of each others perception? I think not. And the same would hold true in ones belief system as to how things work in this world. That is why I cringe when anyone tells me their belief is right and mine is wrong. Can they not see things through my eyes and at least say well maybe you are right? And again, this doesnt really change the actuality of a thing be it a belief or a color. If one truly "sees" a thing as being true that only means it is true for them and maybe no one else. But if it is their "truth" then who am I to tell them they are wrong? I hope I am making myself clear for I do know it can seem confusing at times. And to answer a question, yes, I do believe in right and wrong but that also depends on the "color" I use to draw my own conclusions. I only wish everyone could arrive at the point where we can allow others to have their "truth" even if it doesn't coincide with what we may believe.And I firmly believe we all should learn to look beyond "appearances" and dig a little deeper to discover our true selfs. And maybe then we will see that when this world is big enough for all different views we will be on the road to living a life that allows us to truly discover and accept our "differences" and we will at long last be able to live life in peace and love for all.My sincere wish for each of you wonderful folks is that you can learn to live your life in love, in peace,and in harmony with all life.Take care my friends and remember to enjoy each moment! My heart goes out to all of the folks who have had to be a part of the devastation that has gone on and is continuing to happen in Japan. As I watched the news accounts and saw the photos it really hit hard as to just how fragile this planet is we call home. And also just how quickly our lives can change in a heartbeat. I feel so bad for all the folks who have lost loved ones and their homes and are having to try and deal with the aftermath of the earthquake and the tsunami. Not to mention having now try to control the damage from the nuclear reactors.
I do not feel now is the time for me to express my opinions as to the God many westerners worship and to why such things happen to innocent people if this God could have stopped it from happening. It is also not the time for one to extol the safty issues of nuclear power. Nor do I feel is it time for any political figures to try and use this tragedy to extol their beliefs or agendas on anyone. But I am sure it is time for all of humanity to come together and try to bring relief to as many of our brothers and sisters in Japan as we possibly can. I am proud that my country has already started helping to deal with this disaster as the U.S. always does in times of crisis.Even tho our national debt is crazy right now we are still quick to spend money and send supplies to the folks in Japan.And you know what, I believe that Japan would do the same for us if the situation was reversed.I cant help but think what if everybody in the world would pitch in we could overcome this tragedy a lot more quickly.If everybody would just stop all their "WARS" ( and yes I am including the U.S.) for a week and instead send all that money they are spending on funding the wars, and use it instead to help Japan rebuild as quickly as posssible. I know I sure dont have all the answers but I remain adamant in my belief that ALL of us are ONE! And when we realize that maybe we will end our wars with each other and the next tragedy that hits anywhere in the world can be handled more efficently.And maybe you are thinking I wish I could help those folks right now. Well, I believe you can.The options are many but one thing Im sure all the folks there could use would be our prayers and thoughts for a brighter time that will arrive someday. So I would ask all of you good folks to keep all the folks who are affected by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.I will close with these words for all my fellow human beings not only in Japan but worldwide--I love you and I accept perfect peace and understanding for all of us. TOMORROW'S ADVENTURE BEGINS WITH TODAY'S THOUGHTS

So where will your dream take you tomorrow? Will you stay at home waiting for the phone to ring, waiting for someone to tell you everything?(Thanks to the Traveling Wilburys's for the previous statement) Maybe you will go to your usual work place and toil another day for much needed money to pay the bills.(Lots of us have to do that for sure and theres not a thing wrong with doing just that). Maybe you will begin a much needed vacation. Or take a short trip to visit an old friend. Or maybe go for a walk in nature and just "be" for a few hours. The possibilities are just about endless as to what you will do tomorrow. And most times tomorrows actions begin with todays thoughts and your frame of mind. One thing good though, is that we all can change what we want to do at any moment. But to do this we may find we have to change our thoughts today to get to the point where we can fully live our "dream" the way we really want to. Its truly all up to us and with some ambition and some work and some faith in better things ahead we can attain so much more than we are now doing. So my friends if you now find yourself unhappy, depressed, angry with life, or just disgusted may I suggest you change your thoughts right now and begin to focus what you Do want in life instead of what you feel is beyond your capibilities to make it happen.First change your thinking then change your life. THAT DAMNED NEW REMOTE CONTROL

Hey folks. How ya'll all doing these days? Wonderful I do hope. I know I havent written lately and for that I can only say I miss writing to all of you and hope I can do it a little more often. As of today I now have spent a total of 5 hours trying to hook up all the new digital equipment that Comcast Cable shipped to us last week.I got the two smaller adapters on the spare tvs with only a litttle bit of trouble but the one in the living room that has to connect to not only the tv but also to the vcr and the dvd player.My beautiful wife and I started on this project this morning and bless her heart if not for her sweetness I would have thrown all the cables teh digital box and who knows what else throught the front window. I would get the tv working only to find out the vcr didnt work. Aftrer getting the vcr working I found the tv no longer worked right.The dvd player?? well forget that! I finally got the tv working and the vcr working but have to use like three different remotes to get them to work. The new remote that came with all this stuff has so many buttons and stuff on it I dont know if I will ever figure it all out.We are just lucky that I got the main tv working so we can watch HOUSE on it tonight. No problem with the 2 tvs in the bedrooms cause they dont have a complicated remote control. My only hope is that somepoor soul who knows a little about making sense of the remote will come over and show my wife how its suppopsed to work so wde can do away with some of the other remotes. Who ever said newer technology is great must be NUTS! Ok so I ranted enough today and tomorrow I may give it another shot to learning the remote.But then again I may go fishing instead. At least my fishing equipment is not complicated. Sure do hope all of you are doing great and that the new week has started off really great. HIGHER AND HIGHER

You wanna get high? By that I mean getting high on life. Hey, its for sure we only have one go round in this earthly incarnation.Do we come back later? I'm afraid I can't answer that one fo ya. I used to believe in reincarnation but as I've grown in my spiritual work I believe we do go on but in a higher state of consciousness than that of becoming another human being. But and I stress that word(but) highly, anything is possible. So Im not saying no one will come back reincarnated as another human being or that it is impossible.I keep my mind open for any options that may make more sense at a later date.But one thing for sure, is that all of us right here right now will only have 1 life as the human being we are now. So in that regard I think it imperitive that we get ALL we can out of living while we are here. Christian Larson states the following:"The higher we ascend in the one true light of the spiritual life, the more clearly we can see how to live in perfect harmony with the principles and laws of life." My belief is that for us to truly get the most out of this life we must learn to love unconditionally and live by the Golden Rule. And even thought there are many people who are difficult to love it is possible to do so.Just imagine if everyone would just love everyone and treat them with respect and honesty. What a wonderful life that would be! Sadly, I don't believe I will live this life long enough to see that happen but I plan on doing my part and continuing to dream of the time when all peoples of every land learn to live in peace and harmony. WITHIN THE SACRED SILENCE LIES WISDOM

One thing I have discovered in my search for enlightenment is that life forces a certain amount of wisdom on you if you ask for it or not. Another thing I've learned the hard way is that to really find enlightenment, one must first learn to quiet the mind of all outer distractions. And believe me, that is no easy thing to do. As human beings we are built with a brain that keeps all kinds of thoughts going on from the time we awaken to the time we once again go to sleep.And even in our sleep the brain has all kinds of things running through it into our subconsciousness minds that play out as vivid dreams.And if I was a betting man I'd have to put odds on it that most of our everyday thoughts are not very attuned to finding enlightenment. There are those folks, who by choice, have chosen to live a life in quiet meditations most all day and night long. But those folks are few in number as to ones like myself who go about everyday life meeting all kinds of obstacles in thier search. Most of us have to "make" a living. We have families to support, car payments to make, rent, mortgage payments, jobs, and a thousand other things that occupy most of our time. And when we do get a free moment or two many of us spend that time watching tv, sleeping, playing video games, etc etc. Then we wonder where the "time" has gone to and we promise ourselves we will take some time tomorrow to work on finding enlightenment.And sadly, lots of tomorrows never come. But be assured, any time you make the conscious decision to spend time making yourself a better person your "inner" voice will always talk with you after you do quiet your conscious mind and really listen.And once we find the time and the way to connect with our "higher" self we will be amazed at all the wisdom it pours out unto our conscious minds for use at a later date.We need to all learn how to access this "quiet" or as I call it, our "Sacred Silence" at any given time of the day or night. And when we do we shall find that life is much more simpler, more fun, more loving, and more fulfilling. Joel Goldsmith once said:"Within us is a deep well of contentment, a vast, all-embracing silence into which we relax and through which all good appears to us." I agree with that statement wholeheartedly! My desire for each of you is that you quickly learn to find your "inner" voice and learn to listen to all the wisdom it will share with you.I now leave you with thoughts of peace, love , joy, and strength."HUGS" to all.

THE GREATER GIFT THAT LIES WITHIN OUR TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS

Oh how many times I have cursed the darkness and bemoaned my "bad" luck when an event arrives that I have not prepared for. I really can't say for sure how many times for it used to be part of my normal routine. As long as things went the way I expected them to and wanted them to, everything was sunny in my life. But let just one major, or even one very minor thing come along that caused me to have to leave my comfort zone and I was ready to curse my luck and forget that all things happen for a very good reason. Over the years I have thankfully come to know that in all my troubles and trials there is ALWAYS a gift included within that episode that always outweighs the "bad" stuff. Many , many times I have been unhappy with the result of something happening in my life that at the time I perceived as being the worst thing that could possibly happen to me, but then later, after searching for the "gift" enclosed, I found it to be the best thing that could have ever happened to me. And just in case you are wondering, no I am not always able to see the gift until much much later.And there are times when I swear that the event taking place has no merit to it and it cannot possibly have any kind of gift. But as of today I cannot think of a thing that didnt come with a gift of goodness. At times the gift has been so embedded within the darkness of troubles that I have to search long and hard to find it. But thankfully, since I am sure its there somewhere, I usually can see it after much of the darkness has been dissipated by the light of truth. So when troubles come knocking at your door just try and remember that somewhere, somehow, sometime , you will be able to again see clearly and find the enclosed gift which will in turn not only make you a better human being it will make your life more joyful, more loving, more peaceful, and more fulfilling. I leave all of you now with a couple of quotes which I hope will help you to see what I am speaking of. The first is from Mr. Henri Nouwen who states:"Somehow, in the midst of our tears, a gift is hidden. Somehow, in the midst of our mourning, the first steps of the dance take place." And from the Science of Mind comes this thought:Out of the darkness of the long night, the Dawn has come. I rise to meet the new day, filled with confidence and strength. So my hope and wish for each of you is that you will quickly find the gift sent to you in every situation, especially the ones that bring tears and sadness at first glance. A NEW START

Why is it we as human beings have such a hard time letting go of events, people we love, jobs that are unfulfilling,old negative memories, old habits that tie us down, etc etc etc ? I really wish I had the perfect answer for that question. But I can only hazard a guess as to why many of us are that way with our lives. One reason, I believe, is that we are often more comfortable expressing in a negative experience than we would be in taking a risk to change things. Everyone should be able to clearly see that everything in this material world will change in one way or another.And if we resist these changes it only serves to make us miserable. How many folks do you know right now who say they hate their job but still they remain doing it day after day? Likewise how many people do you know who stay in a personal relationship that makes them miserable simply because they are afraid of change? If you look closely enough Im sure you will find more than a few people who do this. Even if we know that a change is the only way we can find our happiness we put off this change because we fear the unknown. Being rousted out of our "comfort zone" oft times forces us to deal with uncertainties and can cause us much grief and even heartbreak. But in the end we must learn to accept change and make it our "friend" instead of something to be "afraid" of.I am sure you have seen times in your own life when you dreaded having to make a change but after all was said and done you realized it had really been a blessing in disguise. So my hope for all of us is that we can quickly learn to accept , maybe even relish, each change as it comes knocking at our door.And may your "changes" be easy ones that make your life so much happier and brighter. MAKING OURSELVES NEW AGAIN

When we first were born, taken from the safety of our mothers womb, we were brand new human beings. Our little undeveloped minds were just like a canvas that had yet to be touched by human hand.I supposed at the time of our birth we immediately forgot "who" we were and why we had chosen to come into this material world of darkness and chaos. Too bad we had to begin all over to learn what we had forgotten.But that seems to be the way things work in this world.And as little babes our minds were quickly taught to believe things by the way the other human beings showed us. We were "taught" how to live life and how to think etc etc. But what if at some point in ones spiritual growth that person suddenly realizes the things taught to him or her just don't ring true any longer? And what if our minds have accepted things that no longer serve our highest good? Just what are we supposed to do then? Well I can only tell you my opinion on that question.Mahatma Gandhi once stated the following and I totally agree. Gandhi said:"As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world...... as in being able to remake ourselves." And the wonder of our own minds is that we can at any given moment decide what it is we wish to change about ourselves and what is is we wish to become while we are here as human beings. Change may not always be easy, but not only is it possible ,it is necessary if we are to live a full ,joyful, and fulfilling life on earth. My hope and prayer for all of us is that the changes we are faced with will be "easy" and that they will bring us to where we wish to be. Remake yourself today the person you want to be tomorrow!

LIVING IN THE ONE ETERNAL MOMENT NOW

The past is just that--past! It can never be visited or relived except in our minds. And if the past is painful and causes us to be confused, worried, or just plain miserable then why not just quit reliving it or remembering it at all. At least until the pain does subside so we can learn a lesson or two from the past experience. Catherine Ponder in her book titled "Prosperity of the Ages" makes this statement:" So many people miss their present blessings because they are still lamenting unhappy experiences of the past". I agree with Ms. Ponder wholeheartedly! If your past is still tormenting you in any way my hope is that you can fully and perfectly find a way to let go of this past and get on with living your life in the present moment. I guarantee you will be a lot happier if you can do that. New things, even greater things are awaiting you on the other side of your present heartache. So hang in there and live for the moment! You know what? I really don't understand why we as human beings have to make things so darned complicated when in reality(or should I say my reality) things are really relatively simple. Most of us seem to think that if something is too simple then it can't possibily mean to much. And for things to have deeper meaning it must be really complicated to get to the truth. And even though I have convinced myself that things really are simpl;e in this life I still find myself complicating things when it is entirely unneccessary to do so. Just like the title of todays entry implies simplicity I know it can seem complicated. But if one will think about it without any preconceived ideas or notions I believe they can see the truth in this title.I think we all ,on some part of our conscious or subconscious level , desire to know who we are, why are we here, where did we come from, where are we going,etc etc. And the closer we get to the answers we seek the further away they seem at times. But as I see things ,our thoughts, our inner desires ,and deepest inner beliefs are the things that bring each experience into our daily lives.And if the thing we seek truly is the thing we seek with then understanding this should give us the material to change our lives in whatever way we choose. Of course there are lots of variables in life that cause us to change our ways and even our beliefs as we continue to grow in spiritual enlightenment. I love the old movie "The Wizard of Oz." As many of you know the characters in this movie set out upon the Yellow Brick Road in search of the thing they thought they needed to find joy and happiness in life. And in the end they all discover they already had the thing they needed even before setting one foot forward on the Brick Road. They just had to be shown how to remember what they already knew. What a great metaphor for our own lives right now.My sincerest hope and prayer for each of us is that we all can plainly realize that we are OK right now right here and that all we need do is to rediscover or remember that we are made in the Spirit of Life with everything built in so we can enjoy every moment of the journey. I kindly ask from each of you that the first chance you have you can do a random act of kindness for another.It doesn't have to be something on a grand scale nor does it have to cost you anything. Maybe a phone call to an old friend, a letter or email to someone you havent talked with in awhile, or holding open the door for the next person coming or going. Or just a sincere smile at the person sitting next to you on the bus etc etc. Im sure you get the picture. Not only will these acts of kindness help the other person feel better it should also help you feel lots better about yourself. Please do this often and let me know how you feel after a few weeks. REALIZING GREATNESS

Ernest Holmes who founded the Science of Mind philosophy once said:"That which you are searching for, you are searching with." This makes perfect sense to my way of thinking as I can find no seperation of any kind between that which I am and that which I wish to become. One problem I have seen folks encounter on their way to spiritual enlightenment is that they cannot seem to understand that they are a perfect piece of All there is- Right now right here!- Lots of us seek God or Spirit or Buddha or whatever else we call IT as an entity outside of our self. And thus believing we are APART from this entity it causes us to seek our Good from something outside of ourselves.And often times that will become an endless search kinda like the proverbial dog chasing his own tail. God or Spirit as I like to call It, is the most powerful agency known to the human mind.And being human beings we tend to think we are not as "big" as "powerful" or as anything that this Spirit is. However in truth this God or Spirit is a part of us and thus we have to be just as powerful as that entity which resides in our own soul. There is no "big" nor no "little' in Spirit or in God. As I see it, all is ONE. In his book titled The Art of Spiritual Healing Joel Goldsmith states the following:" Change the nature of your prayer(thoughts) so that you are not trying to get a big God to do a little tiny "you" a favor." I just love that statement and I hope you find it somewhat helpful in your personal journey. As each of us go through a new day may we all realize that the most powerful agent in existence is within our soul and inner consciousness right now and that we can call upon this agent to guide us through the changes of life and help us to see clearly the way before us. I leave each of you now in peace, in love, and in joy. And I thank you for allowing me to be even a very small part in your life. I am truly honored to call each of you "friend". STAYING PEACEFUL AMIDST ALL THE CHANGES

Everything changes! That's a solemn truth that all of us are aware of. And changes to us and our lives often come in unexpected ways and at unexpected times. And more times than not these changes are tough to accept. But if we are to survive in this world and remain joyful and at peace witin ourselves we must learn to deal with the changes in a way that does not cause us to return to that point of consciousness where we have to "blame" someone or something else for the changes that do occur. As human beings we can be a strange lot to say the least. Lots of us are more comfortable in a state of disarray as long as we have our "safe" routine to stay in.We may say we are miserable with the way things are but yet we had rather stay miserable than to take the chance on changing something. Many spouses remain in a horrible relationship becasue it at least tells them they are in a relationship and dont have to be alone. Me personally, if I was miserable in any relationship Id hurry to leave it and take my chances alone. But many of us wont even do that. We often times feel we are powerless to do anything about our lot in life and we just accept that and go on the best way we know how. But I have found from my personal experiences that ones "Inner Self" or "Soul", or Higher Self" or any name you may give to it will still strive to make the changes It knows will help set you free from your misery. But we still fight these inner urgings to change until at last Life forces upon us some changes It knows we need in order to grow.Still it is not easy to accept these changes because so often as I said before these changes bring with them much turmoil and soul searching. But I firmly believe that if we will surrender to this Inner Knowing and embrace the changes life gives us we can and will succeed in making our lives something we can take pride in. Just remember to try and stay centered and in that peaceful state when these changes do come aknocking at your door. My wish for all of you is that the changes you now face or will face will be fairly "easy" for you to accept and that your lives will be made more beautiful with every change you endure. I leave you now in peace and with hopes of a great evening for you and yours.

Sounds simple huh? But oft times we can be pretty hard on ourselves. And sometimes over the silliest things we do! And what do most of us do when we find ourselves needing a little tlc? Most of the time I think we look for this tlc outside of ourselves. And while this may work sometimes and helps us to feel better about things I do believe we would be better served to look within to find our own tlc. Why? Because if we do that we are not at the whim of another being to give us our tlc. If we look within we can Always grant us the tlc we are seeking. And also if we do that first, then almost like magic the tender loving care starts coming to us more abundantly and from all different sources we have not even imagined. Try it the next time you feel a little down, sad, depressed or any out of sort feeling and see if it helps. Sometimes its easier for us to be good to someone else than it is for us to be good to ourselves. ElizabethClare Prophet, in her book titled "Alchemy of the Heart" states:"When you need nurturing, don't hand the job over to someone else." Wise words indeed. So as I leave you now with hopes of much love, peace, joy,enlightenment, and abundance in your lives, my hope is that each of you will always remember to be good to yourself-Especially when it seems no one else is! WHAT ME WORRY?

I've long been a fan of Mad Magazine's Poster Child Alfred E. Neuman whose favorite saying was "What, me worry?" If you are not familiar with Alfred look him up and I think you will see why I think so highly of him and his philosophy. But for right now I want to get back to the worrying part of life that we all tend to do from time to time. Most of us fret over this or that, some things big, most things very minor in the whole scheme of life or anything in between. Seems like we worry when things are going bad, when things are going good or again in between somewhere. And as you probably know by now all the worry in the world does us no good at all. Worry will cause us to miss out on the joy of the moment, it can cause us much grief such as missed opportunities, physical and mental disease and just about hold us prisoner in our own lives.After all worry is in reality only faith that has been misplaced from positive to negative. There is in my opinion a Universal Law that is Always at work with us. And this law will take our subjective thoughts and then give to us what we are thinking of on the deepest level. That being said it stands to reason that if we are worrying about something it is in a negative state and life will see that and do what? Yeah, that right. Life will give us more of that negative stuff right back because this Law knows no "right" or "wrong" no "big" nor "little" it only knows to respond to our worry and this causes us even more worry. Its a vicious cycle and will continue until we change our thoughts and instead of worrying start thinking in a positive way and keep our inner mind filled with positive thoughts. Then the Law will give back to us the thing it recognizes.That being on a positive nature. And the Law of Karma which again is a Law that knows nothing else except to be true to its nature and give back to us that which we are giving out to others in our own lives. So understanding that truth ,if we put all our actions out as positive, kind ,joyful ,abundant etc etc then we need not worry cause the law will give back to us the same. So therefore we no longer have to worry about anything! But even with that being said and being so true also , I am not so naive as to think that I will never have to worry again. Because I know there will be times when I start to worry about something and it is then that I hope to be able to stop and think things through so I can once again stop the needless worry and instead put my positive faith to the test and just "know" things will be ok again. As I leave you now with thoughts of love, peace, serenity, and joy I hope that your "worries" will be small ones indeed, and that you can stop the worry and focus on the positive. THE PAST IS JUST THAT__PAST! WHY CONTINUE LIVING IN IT?

I love the conversations with my beautiful soulmate when she will mention the past or the tomorrow for any reason. It's then that I tell her "There is no tomorrow, cause when tomorrow comes it is today. She used to try and explain it to me until she found out I was a hopeless case. Just kidding of course but it is truly something when we try and figure out this time concept thing. But one thing I do know from learning the hard way is that the past is gone and there is nothing any one can do to change it. And yet so many of us spend way too much time and energy doing exactly that--Living in the past. Maybe we continue to beat ourselves up because of the decisions we made in the past. Or maybe cause of the things we did or did not do in the past. We all have done or said things we wish we could take back or do differently but to no avail. Now, I do believe we can learn from our past and in that regard it is good to go back in time with the mind and think of ways we could have done better. But sitting around thinking of lost loves, lost opportunities, bad decisions, etc etc is mostly a big waste of time. A Course in Miracles gives us the following statement which I absolutely love. It states: "The past becomes the justification for entering into a continuing unholy alliance with the ego against the present." Think about that and I think you will see the truth in that statement. My hope for all of you is that your "past" can be fondly recalled and remembered without it ever becoming an albatross around your "future" hopes and dreams. I leave each of you with thoughts and vibrations of love, peace, joy, and understanding.

MAY I LOVE YOU

From the book Real Love by Greg Baer comes this thought: The greatest fear of all for a human being is to be unloved and alone. You know what? I have to agree with that statement even though I'm sure there are lots of folks who may think differently. But show me just ONE human being who is completely fulfilled while not loving at least one other person and having one other person loving them. Bet you cant do it unless you may show me someone who isn't wired correctly. Some folks may convince themselves they can be happy and fulfilled without loving or being loved in return but if you ask me I'd say they are only deceiving themselves. As for me I'd rather love and then allow others to love me too or else Im ready to move on to wherever we do go after this life cause if I cant love you for no reason other than because I want to thenIm ready to go! EXPRESS YOURSELF FREELY

Hi folks. So in what way did you express yourself today? Did you even think for a moment about how you were living your life? Or did you just kinda go on with everything in kinda like cruise control? Just another day? Or was it a very special day? Well, I believe that every day is very special even if I do sometimes forget that each moment is an incredibile opportunity for me to express myself in the way I wish to be seen. I sure don't strive for being famous or being a household name ( I prefer my privacy way too much to ever want to be famous) but yes, I do want people who know me to have some respect for the type of person I am. Am I ever completely satisified that I am doing all I can to fully express as a human being? I can't say for sure but I believe there is always a part of me that yearns for a bigger sense of fulfillment in this life. And I suppose that is the way it is suppose to be and that is what makes us strive to do more. I know from my past experiences as a writer that I never have felt completely satisified that I have written all that I was meant to do. There was a time when I wrote more often and tried harder to get my work published. I had moderate success at that but felt I never would want to put forth thte effort to become an accomplished author. And it was at that time in my life when I discovered that if "something" kept eating at me to write it down that until I followed that inner prodding I would not be left alone. I had a few inspirations to write and at the same time tried to ignore the feelings.But they would not leave me alone. Until I finally listened and heeded the call to write I was always feeling "incomplete" I suppose. Now years later I mostly write in my private journal(kinda like a form of self-therapy), or on my blog here.And I still find there are times when I try to "put off" writing on here just because I dont want to take the time to do it. But as the thoughts of inspiration come to me and say write this down I have found that it really helps if I listen to my "inner" voice and do what it says.So in that regard I guess I am expressing myself as a reluctant writer, an old hippie, and who knows what else. I always wished I could sing and play the guitar. I absolutely love blues music and Im just a little jealous wehn I hear those blues guitarist playing. Are you listening Chris? For those of youi who may wonder who Chris is well he is afriend of mine who plays a mean guitar and sings the blues and is the frontman of his own band. If you ever get a chance check out his blog and his band(Thrift Store Poets). I have another blogger friend Sarah who writes lovely fairy tales, a nephew who plays guitar, a brother who can draw or paint anything , a beautiful wife who is an artist in the kitchen, and I could go on and on as to the many ways friends and family are expressing each day.In a book called High Mysticism by Emma Curtis Hopkins she states: "We each of us have a work which is supremely ours and no other can accomplish this opus." How true. I firmly believe each of us have our own gifts to share with this world and my hope is that every one of you have already discovered your gift and are expressing it daily. If you happen to be someone who is still searching for your innate gift hang in there, listen to your inner voice and hopefully you will soon discover your true gift. And we should all remember that each moment, no matter what is happening in our lives, is another opportunity for us to share our gift witheach other. And One gift we all have and can giv e away freely is the gift of love so please share that gift often. I leave you with hope of peace, joy, love, and kindness fro you and yours now and always!

GRATITUDE

One of the the most important things we can do to make our lives better is to be grateful for the good things we have right now. I know in some cases it can be real hard to find anything to be grateful for especially when it seems like everything around you is crumbling down and bad luck seems to be dogging your every move. And I also realize that at times when someone may be going through such an experience you will not be able to convice them to be grateful for anything.We humans are a funny lot it seems to me. Some of us can be grateful for amny many things while others cant seem to find one thing to be grateful for. And there are many many different reasons for that being true. So I will not try and tell someone to be thankful while their life seems to be in the tank so to speak but I will say that if one can be grateful for all the "small" things in their lives that that will open the gates for them to recieve even more "good" things to come about. It is a Cosmic law of attraction that never fails to work. Just like any other law of nature(gravity, electricity, etc) it has to act accordingly to its nature.With that being understood it should be easy to see that by thinking of all the good you already have and showing much gratitude for it the channels will open up for more ,and likewise as one thinks about only the "lack" they see in their lives then this "law" will continue to give them lack. Catherine Ponder in her book "Prosperity Secrets of the Ages" states this: "When you bless a problem, injury, lack, or an enemy, you are calling forth the good within them, and you will be pleasantly surprised at the good that comes through them." So I would ask each of you to take a look around at your surroundings and your life in general and take note of every "good" thing in your life. These can be simple little pleasures or as big as a soul mate who loves you completely. Even in the "darkest" of times I truly believe that we all have much to be thankful for, right here right now! BEAUTIFUL OR UGLY

What events are right now shaping your individual lives? What circumstances do you now find yourself involved in? More importantly, how are you labeling these events as they occur in your daily life? In his book titled The Thunder of Silence Joel Goldsmith states: "Whatever the appearance, it is merely a form of some sort, nothing but a blank in front of you until you decide that this thing is either beautiful or ugly." How comforting it is when I realize that I have the power to ultimately decide how I am going to deal with things in my life. Yes, there are many things that occur in my world over which I have no say so as to whether or not they occur. But I do know I can choose the way I deal with these things. And we are connected to each other as to how we relate to ourselves. That is not to say I will agree with you on things or disagree but the choices I make will determine the way you see me and the way I view the world of illusion we are now in.Personally if I find myself labeling something as "ugly" I intend to take a closer look and try to repaint that experience as "beautiful". I know that will not always serve to keep me from seeing something as negative but it will serve to help me take a closer look at the way I define myself. I sincerely hope you will find a way to label most things as beautiful also. I leave you with peace and hopes for a bright beautiful day for each of you!

IS GOD A VIOLENT OR NONVIOLENT ENTITY

I have wondered for many years now about all the different interpretations of God that I have read or heard about. One thing for sure is that most of the people who hold a belief in a single entity who has created everything is usually very adament in their beliefs and lots of them take umbrage at those of us who dare to question the existence of this 1 Spiritual Entity. I find the writers of the bible's version can take a drastic turn from the concept of a loving kind God to that of a very demanding, violent, controlling God who can exact ETERNAL punishment upon those He deems unfit for His Kingdom. In the book of Genesis the writer labels God as One who is distraught with His creation and decides to destroy everything He has created except for 1 family.(That being Noah's family). If this is true did not this God destroy all the animal life also?And what did the animals have to do with the way humans were living on earth? Just a wee bit unfair if you ask me.And I really cannot make myself believe that of all the people on earth at this time were useless except for Noah. Not another soul anywhere worthy of another chance? Doesn't feel right to me there either.So this God is betrayed as being rather violent. At the same time in the book of John God is described as being love, nothing more nor less, than love. Is this the same God that was so violent in Noah's case?Our early ancestors attributed all natural disasters as a way of God punishing man for his sins. They simply did not know any other way to explain why "bad" things happened from time to time. And so there was born the concept of a vengeful and oft violent God. But personally I believe that God (no matter how you see Him) is only pure love and therefore nonviolent. With that being said is it no wonder why I cannot believe in a literal "hell" where ones soul can be punished for eternity! I much prefer the God I envision-a God of peace and understanding and unconditional love.I now leave you in peace with hopes for a bright and blessed holiday season to all of you folks."HUGS" to all.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR! YOU MAY JUST GET IT!

Well now, what is it you would want to see manifest in your life right about now? How about a new car? Or a new home? Maybe a new job or better yet a winning lottery ticket so you wouldn't have to work at all? Or maybe its a soul mate you are looking for? For each of us we have our own "wants" and desires that we feel would really make our lives complete. A bigger question is how do you react when those wants and desires fail to materialize in your world? Do you get angry? Upset? Feel like life is unfair to you? Or can you just decide that if it didnt appear then it is really better for you in the long run? Personally I have found out that even though I think I know what it is I need to be happy and "fulfilled" it oft times turns out to be just the opposite. I used to get all excited about striving to bring into realization "all" those things I thought would make my life happier and easier.But you know what? I have found out that when I instinctively trust the Universe to take care of my needs it works out much better than if I demand that the results are exactly the way I had envisioned them from the start.I've alos seen many a time when I did "get" the thing I was striving for only to find out later that it was the worse possible thing I could have had happen. The old adage-be careful what you pray for cause you may get it certainly rings true to me on many occasions. It is still at times "hard" fro me to completely"let go" and trust that things will develop in a way that will take care of all my needs. But working on making myself "let go" is way much easier than constantly trying to make things happen in the order I think they should.So I now try to just accept that everythig is working for my highest good and that my part in all this is to train my mind to be still and accept all the "good" life has to offer. Its still a work in progress I must confess but I'm getting there. I sure hope all of you are in the midst of having a very wonderful week and that all the good things you desire are coming your way right now.And if and when things don't go exactly as planned I hope you can overcome the temptation to gt angry, sad, or depressd and remember that greater truths and goodness are headed your way even now."HUGS" to all!

FINDING JOY

Why does anyone bother to love anyone or anything? Isn't life more simple if we just take care of ourselves and not worry about anyone else? But the most of us seem to love others willingly, even if we know it may later cause much heartache, sorrow and loss. But we still are willing to sacrifice the comfort of only having to worry about ourself so we can love someone. I read a quote from Sathya Sai Baba who says:"Man(woman, my interjection) loves because he is Love. He seeks Joy, for he is Joy. He thirsts for God, for he is composed of God and he cannot exist without Him." I have to fully agree with that statement and that explains (at least to me) why we allow ourselves to love another. I do know from experience that I am so much more happy and fulfilled when I am giving my unconditional love to others while at the same time allowing others to love me. I can well remember in my younger days how I sometimes felt when I didn't have close at hand that One woman I could lean on and give my love to. I made it thru some very lonely times(usually because of the choices I made) and today I am a firm believer that one must truly love and be loved in returned to feel complete. My sincere wish and hope for all of you wonderful folks is that you right now find yourself surrounded by those who love you unconditionally and allow you to give your love to them. And I also hope the new week ahead will be filled with much love,peace, joy, and all good things! "HUGS"

WHEN LOVE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ENOUGH

Love is all you need, or so its been said over and over. I agree to some extent with that but from a personal perspective I have seen that there are times when love itself just doesn't seem to be enough to overcome all hurdles. Once upon a time I was sure that if two people truly loved one another that they could make their relationship endure all hardships. I was wrong! I now believe that two people can truly love each other deeply but just can't make that love be strong enough to continue in a relationship. I still like to think that if people love each other enough that they can get through any obstacles that threaten to sabotage their relationship if they do indeed work hard enough to make it work. The accepted view that men are from mars and woman from venus does seem likely. As a rule we are so far apart from the way we view life it is amazing that any of us remain in commited relationship for any length of time. And I think that is because there are just so many other variables involved in the situations we find ourselves in. I firmly believe that true love for another is the greatest blessing we have even if it sometimes causes so much worry and confusion. And even if life has shown me that love sometimes isnt enough I still like to think it is or at least should be enough. But that still doesn't answer my question as to why I have seen too many people split apart even though they loved one another so deeply. I don't suppose I'll ever know all the answers for sure so in the meantime I am going to continue in my dreamworld believing that Love truly is enough! My hope and wish for each of you is that you are right now in a loving relationship with a soulmate who returns your love and gives to you all you need to be happy and fullfilled. And if not, that in the near future your soulmate will arrive and that you will be prepared to know them and take the relationship to that deeper level. I now leave you with peace and hopes for a bright future.

CHOOSE YOUR BATTLES CAREFULLY

How often do we spend our time in some silly battle of wills or wanting to be "right"? Too many I'm afraid! Seems to me many of us waste too much time fighting battles that aren't even worth winning. We keep our inner peace at bay by fighting, scratching, and clawing about things that in reality are so very very minor instead of allowing our inner peace to radiate out from us and gently touch everyone we encounter.Now I must admit there are some "battles" that we must fight the good fight over and see it through. But those battles should be chosen carefully lest we wind up expending needless energy that we should be saving for the times when we really need it. I just love this following quote from the Science of Mind. It states: We are over-concerned with non-essentials, straining at gnats, while swallowing mountains of superstition. I wholeheartedly agree with that writer very much. My hope for each of you is that you will encounter very few battles in your life and when you do you will have the wisdom to know whether it is a worthwhile battle or not. May each of you have a terrific weekend filled with much love peace and joy!
