LEARNING TO LOVE
At first glace loving anything should be an easy thing to do. Or maybe I should say loving something or someone with out conditions would not be so easy. Most of us, being born within the state of love, seem to have no problem loving others as long as they are doing what we think they should be doing or saying. I do believe however that most of us attach conditions to our love. I'll love you when .... or I'll love you if.......you do this or that. So really learning to love anyone unconditionally does take a certain amount of effort on our part but I do believe one can learn to do this. Love itself can spread like wildfire if all of us can remember to put some kindling on that fire every chance we get. First we must learn to love ourselves, because one cannot give away something they do not possess. After learning to love our self we can then put forth effort to love everyone we meet. There is an old proverb that states the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is today. So I would ask each of you to plant the seeds of love, peace, and togetherness wherever you are. Right now right here let us all begin a movement of loving one another. Remember the force of many always begins with the force of one! Remember to be good to yourself and even better to others. Let us shout to the world, we are One!

Nice post, brother.
Love is the answer - and I really appreciate the way you focus on this, post after post. But I feel strongly that unconditional love is easy, not difficult. Unconditional love is our divine nature. Conditional "love" is not true love - there may be love mixed in, but the conditions themselves - and the mindset which creates and monitors these conditions - comes from ego and not from the divine self.
Unconditional love is natural - and therefore very easy, indeed automatic - when we are in the divine consciousness of the true self. But our egos work very hard on cloaking this innate love - on filtering it and blocking it.
It is very easy and natural for an enlightened soul to be truly loving - but we can indeed find it very difficult to retrain the ego self to sit in the background, so that our innate love can express itself freely, becoming the guiding light behind all of our thoughts and actions. Achieve this constantly, and we become automatically loving at all times.
Same thing as you are saying really, I suspect, Ron - just a slight change of emphasis? Let us all plant the seeds of love, whether this means focusing on enlightening the ego self, or simply focusing on love.

hi Ian You are right on once again. I agree with you wholeheartedly! I suppose I should have been more clear when I say unconditional love is not easy. By that I was referring to the ego self and not our higher self. Our true being has no problems in conveying unconditional love, as you stated it is only when we allow our ego selves to make our choices that we lose sight of the best way to express our love. Thanks again for your input so very much. I feel you have much to share with all of us so do visit again. The best to you and yours always.

Have a wonderful week, my friend!Nice post as always.
Hello Dee. Thank you for stopping by and for the kind words. The best to you and yours also!
Hey Ron, another wonderful, thoughtful post! It's so true that we have to love ourselves before we can truly love someone else. Whitney Houston had that fantastic song about it. It's true, we really are all one. Infact, I've heard that we human beings share at least 60% of our DNA with everything! We are connected to everyone and everything...our fellow humans, and all other earthlings, whether they're animals or plants. It's very interesting.
How right you are Eve! Now if everyone would realized that maybe we could go a bout bring some sanity back into the world! Thanks for stopping in and sharing your thoughts with us.
Namaste brother; love, my favourite topic. First we try to learn what love really means, then we can see if there is a way to identify with it as a singularity.
Unconditional love arrives at the doorstep of all who discover the true definition of love.
We can use simple mathematics; keep subtracting until you arrive at the number one.
In Lak' ech, brother Ron, prosper with love... live with singularity....
Thanks Christopher for your wise words on how to discover real love.
