RUSHING TO JUDGE

How often do you immediately judge someone or some event without truly taking the time to really think about it? I don't know why but it seems to me that most human beings are really way to quick to make judgments about others. Seems as if the person immediately places judgment if it does not coincide with their beliefs. And the judgment is usually tinted by their own personal biases. You probably have heard the old adage that says judge not that you be not judged. Well, I can agree with that to a certain extent. If someone tells you they do not judge others then they are either lying or sadly mistaken. All of us make judgments every day. Day in, day out, we are forced to make judgments. I feel the old adage truly means we should not condemn others when we do make a judgment of any kind. We can all not agree every time and we shall all have very different ways of looking at things. this is just human nature and it has always been that way. The problem as I see it, is that when we make a judgment and condemn the other person then that is where we go astray. We should be very careful as to the way we judge others so that we too, can ask for a little understanding and patience from others. I love this quote from Mother Teresa who once stated: "If you judge people, you have no time to love them." That is so true I do believe. Now that doesn't mean we have to agree with the other person all the time and yes, it will be necessary for us to make judgments from time to time.  But if we are a little more understanding, a little more loving, and a little more open minded, I do believe we will find that others are giving us the same in return. And if they fail to do that for us,  then we may decide to just let them be who they are and accept that they are not yet ready to understand the real meaning of "Judge not that you may be judged ". I feel we should accept the fact that all our brothers and sisters in this human form are divinely perfect no matter what the appearance may seem to be. Let us choose to set aside those "hurtful" judgments and instead strive to see the divinity in all people. The Science of Mind Textbook issues us this statement which I think says it all. The quote goes as follows: The Truth is that the Spiritual Man (Woman) is already Perfect, no matter what the appearance may be. My hope is that all of us will quickly see this Truth and that we will begin to live our lives accordingly. Then for the second time in human existence we will have discovered fire. I leave you now with thoughts of perfect love, perfect peace, and perfect harmony. If you can at this moment stop and do something nice for someone else then you will be helping to light that fire that this world needs so badly right now. Please go in peace and try your very best to be a part of life's solutions and not a part of the problem. "HUGS" to all of you beautiful people.

STAYING IN THE MOMENT

How often do you find yourself so wrapped up in thinking of what you have to do in the future that you completely missed the awesome wonder of the one eternal moment you now are expressing in? If you are like most folks, then I dare say it happens more than you would care to own up to. Seems to me human beings are just kind of built that way. I sure don't believe we are born to do that but as we develop into our own thinking ego self it seems as if we just cannot be satisfied in the moment. We are constantly looking either in the past or toward the future ,  when in reality all we have is the one moment. As I see it, it is entirely ok to plan for the future, or to look back on the past if we think that will help us become a better human being. But just looking back at the past to either condemn ourselves or another human being for something that we done or didn't do is such a waste. We do need to take a look at our past actions so we can learn a lesson from our mistakes, but it serves no purpose to continually berate ourselves for past actions. Just look long enough to learn from it and then move on. As for the future, it is great to make plans and all , but we need to be wary that we do not spend way too much time thinking of the future. Just do the best you can and be willing to change your plans if need be. I know you have heard the old saying that the only thing constant is change and that is very true. No matter what our circumstances in life we all have a golden opportunity to just stop, take a deep breath, and really enjoy the present moment. Just stopping long enough to become aware of all the beauty that surrounds us is golden! In the Holy Bible in Isaiah 43: 18-19 it is written: The Lord said: Forget what happened long ago! Don't think about the past. I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands. Yep, God in man(woman) as Man(women) is man(woman). Personally I don't care what religion you favor if any one at all. Your personal beliefs about God or lack thereof really doesn't make any difference as I see it. Whatever your beliefs I think you and all of us are witnessing every moment the wonder and the amazement of Spirit at work, working through us to accomplish all the great things we do. If you refuse to let go of any past hurt, slight, or abuse, etc , then you will definitely be hurting yourself even more. I hope you can see the point I wish to make. And that is that we are all One and all things important are happening right now, right here, in this one eternal moment. May you never limit your life by any experience that has happened in the past or by being fearful of what may happen in the future. Instead, may I suggest that you begin living in the moment, and trying to make the most of every experience. And may I also suggest that I believe that if you take this very moment and do something nice for someone else, that you will soon find it is also helping you find the inner peace and contentment you are now seeking. I leave all of you with my hopes that you and yours are enjoying the moment and find yourselves immersed in love for all.

STORMS, STORMS, AND MORE STORMS

Today I would like to ask all you fine folks out there to send some healing thoughts to all the people here in the Midwestern part of the United States who have been dealing with tornados and severe storms the past few weeks. Oklahoma in particular has been devastated by them. Entire towns wiped out, good people dead, injured, and left homeless, and still the storms rage on. Here where I live, in the western part of the state of Kentucky we are also considered to be in the "tornado alley" of the Midwest. For some reason the storms usually hit all around the city I live in but so far have not touched down within the city limits. But several small communities that surround Paducah are hit with storms that cause much damage and take lives every year. Mother Nature seems to have run amok in the past few years down here. One year it was flooding(again this year also) the next it was an ice storm that left us without power for weeks. Then it was a drought one year that caused much concern and hardship. I am used to seeing severe thunderstorms here every year and it still amazes the wrath that Mother Nature hits us with. This planet is showing just how merciless it is when it comes to the weather patterns. I'm pretty sure the planet will continue on its wings of change and that one day the planet itself may be wiped out and become a rogue planet. Only time will tell. But at this moment in time there are oh so many folks around the world who are facing the "hard" times of severe weather. And even though our technology has come so far, we are still, at times, helpless to do much of anything. So today, if you will, how about just sending some positive healing vibrations out to all of the folks who are facing the wrath of Nature. We are "ONE" and when one of us is hurting, then all of us are hurting in some way. Thanks for your time and may I just add that since all of us don't really know for sure when we are gonna leave this place and make our transition elsewhere, let us all reach out right now and do something nice for someone while we still have the opportunity! I wish for you and yours the very best of everything.
