WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

All of us have times in our lives when everything seems to being just the opposite of what we had envisioned for ourselves. We suffer loss of some  kind, we have a bout with some illness, we find we don't have enough money to pay the bills, we find our relationships going downhill, etc. Those are times when we may even question why we want to be here in the first place. My experiences have taught me that these times of suffering is not only normal it is also destined to happened. No matter how carefully we arrange things, no matter how many solid walls we erect to protect us, no matter how hard we try there will always be those "hard" times. That just comes with being human. Even though these times are very trying and most uncomfortable it is these times when we learn our most valuable lessons. The one thing I have found is that as long as I still have family and friends to help me through those tough times I will always survive and actually become a much stronger person because of the difficulties I have just been through. So I might suggest that all of us take time to cultivate our friendships and all of our family relationships so that in those times of trial and tribulation we will have those who can and will gladly help us to survive. The Science of Mind gives us this quote: Suffering may be salutary(beneficial) in that it leads us to a place where we learn that it is unnecessary!. I agree with that! But when we do find ourselves in a state of "need" or "want" maybe we should heed the advice that J. B. Goldstone once wrote. He said: "To improve our circumstances, we must first increase our knowledge and enlarge our consciousness." So today I wish you and yours all the best of everything. May your life be filled with much love, joy, peace, and contentment. If you care to right now do something nice for someone that should be a great start on making sure you will always have those who care about you when you need someone the most. Keep smiling and remember to enjoy the Moment for that is really all any of us have.

Thanks Ron for yet another inspirational post.

We grow spiritually through our worldly experiences. When I first learned to meditate I was taught that everything that happens to us is accurate - a product of our previous thoughts and actions. They said "the drama is your friend - every experience has the potential to bring you benefit". Another way to put it would be "every cloud has a silver lining". The benefits of struggling through difficult times in our lives are often not apparent at the time, but only in retrospect. Through challenging experiences we become stronger mentally and spiritually. Another common saying: "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". So we should accept whatever happens to us in life as a lesson with a hidden meaning for us. Even if we don't perceive the hidden meaning, we can say to ourselves "this too will pass".

Remember too that life on Earth is just a game we souls play - within the game it seems very real, but from a divine perspective we are simply entertaining ourselves with some vivid experiences. Ultimately - on death if not before - we all transcend these experiences and will then understand their true meaning. Until then, have faith that everything is always exactly as it is meant to be, and be loving and selfless in your thoughts and reactions to whatever difficulties you face. Such an attitude will overcome any obstacle.

Love and light to all.

Namaste brother Ron; excellent and worthwhile post, thanks again for your steadfast contributions.

Undoubtedly the hardest of times can prove fodder for the greatest of personal gains. With that said, it can be excruciatingly difficult to see yourself through the insanity, which is why your advice to cultivate friendships and family relations is so very valuable.

When we hit the wall and believe the next day is not worth living, we need people who can teach us love is more important.

In Lak'ech, brother Ron, prosper with love.... live with peace....

Hey Ron! It's true that every hard time usually passes, and I think it's also true that without the hard times, the good times wouldn't seem as sweet. Good friends and family are vital to our survival. Hope you and your family are having a great week!

Hey Chris Thanks for stopping by. Just doing the best I can to try and show love to everyone. Looking forward to hearing your band's new cd! BTW how's the book coming along? You are a very busy person I know and again I thank you for taking a little time to share your work and your thoughts with me! Wish I could sing as good as you do then maybe I could get the message of love out to more people. I admire those like yourself who have the talent to play and sing. Unfortunately I didn't get any of those musical "gifts" when I was born. Oh well at least I can always find solace in other folk's music! Hope you and yours are doing great. Enjoy the new week ahead.
