DEATH AS A NEW BEGINNING

I am sure that lots if not most of us humans view death as an ending of something and surely not a start of something new. There are so many teachings as to what becomes of us at the point of "death" when the human body no longer functions. I am not one who professes to know for sure where we go, if anywhere at all. I do have my personal beliefs which are true for me only! So with that being said I would just like to share with you a paragraph from The Urantia Book which states the following:

Love of adventure, curiosity, and dread of monotony---these traits inherent in evolving human nature---were not put there just to aggravate and annoy you during your short sojourn on earth, but rather to suggest to you that death is only the beginning of an endless career of adventure, an everlasting life of anticipation, an eternal voyage of discovery.

My wish is that each of you will just take a moment while on this earthly path to do something nice for someone and to express the Divine Love which resides in you right now. May your path be filled today with lots of love, peace, beauty, and joy.

Thank your Ron for raising this subject. For those who still identify with their body and ego-self rather than with their divine self, death is indeed an ending - the human body dies, and the ego-self will dissipate over time. One of the many advantages of achieving divine consciousness here on Earth is that we rise above the ego-mind's fear of its own death and dissolution. We then see death as a transformation and a new beginning, rather than as a terminal ending, and this perspective brings great lightness and contentment here and now. I feel it is better to focus on this moment - to experience and enjoy this life now - than to concern ourselves with what happens after death - I myself have been a victim in the past of the "jam tomorrow" approach of many religions. For many years I chose to accept a philosophy which basically said "accept your suffering now, and you will get your rewards later, in heaven". This is a fine philosophy for the use of those who wish to manipulate others... but my experience is now that we get our rewards right here and now, in this life, for the spiritual efforts we make. Accordingly we don't need to be able to see beyond the veil of death.

That said, my own near death experiences make it very clear that death is an uplifting and beautiful experience, once we get past any initial surprise or shock at the change. What happens next? Perhaps it would spoil the fun if we knew?

Here is a very uplifting video about the near death experience of a scientist: http://youtu.be/qbkgj5J91hE.

Thanks for sharing with us Ian. I agree, if we knew what was to happen what fun is there in that? As always the very best to you and yours. Thanks for stopping by.

Namaste brother Ron; having just weighed in on the subject, I find this post to be timely. None of us will ever know for sure what will transpire the moment we die. I believe that we, as GOD creators, will manufacture exactly what we believe to be true. Whatever occurs, one thing I trust we can rely upon is that consciousness does not end, there is another path we will follow. Personally, I do not believe nothing ever dies, it merely transforms into another expression of reality.

In Lak' ech, brother Ron, prosper with knowledge... live eternally....
