I'M DYING AS FAST AS I CAN

Death. The one word all of us know and accept. In The Teachings of Don Juan he reminds us that Death is forever by our side, stalking and waiting until the time he strikes us down. He also reminds us to have the utmost awe, respect, and reverent fear for Death as he is our constant companion. In the book ILLUSIONS by Richard Bach a character named Donald Shimoda tells Richard this: "Remember where you came from, where you are going, and why you created the mess you got yourself into in the first place. You're going to die a horrible death, remember. It's all good training, and you will enjoy it more if you keep the facts in mind. Take your dying with some seriousness, however. Laughing on the way to your execution is not generally understood by lesser advanced life-forms, and they'll call you crazy."
Personally I find the thought of so called death so very intriguing. There are just so many different beliefs about death. I can only say I don't have any preconceived notions about what happens at that moment. Of course there are many who claim to know exactly what happens but I don't get that at all. Human beings are equipped with a finite brain and then we still try to explain the infinite. Just can't be done I don't think. The only thing I do know for sure is that death will get each and every one of us one day. So with that in mind I am going to try my best to make today one filled with love, peace, and happiness. And my hope is that you will do the same. Be good to yourself and even better to everyone you meet this day. Live now, because death awaits us all. I leave all of you with thoughts of love and kindness. Enjoy the moment!

Namaste brother Ron; the drive to determine what is next is one, of many, interesting expressions offered us by the filter of EgoSelf. Although we have no idea what might transpire, I believe we can at least hang our hat upon the notion that consciousness does not escape us, life goes on.

Personally, having already passed by more than my fair share of visits from the grim reaper, I feel a man on borrowed time who appreciates each day as if were 'bonus time'.

When my perception of consciousness does shift into overdrive, I hope to heck it is a real hoot. All the best to you my dear brother, hopefully we will hang around a while longer, after all, this ride is pretty cool.

In Lak' ech, prosper with life... live beyond death...

I agree, this ride is an awesome one for sure! I am like yourself in that I feel I have already used up a few of my "lives" by doing some of the stupid stuff way too many times! The best to you and yours as well my dear friend.
