IN A WISP OF SMOKE

What if all of us would take a real close look at all the simple reminders of love in this world? Do you think that may help all of  us to stay attuned to the fact that we are all ONE and need to start behaving like it? I feel it would at least be a good start. We are incessantly bombarded by all the hate and bigotry among us while we ignore many of the simple signs that love is alive and well even when we can't see it very clearly. I want to share with you an experience I just had. I was talking with a dear friend on the phone and while doing so I stepped out to the garage and lit a cigar. Our conversation turned to talking about Leo Buscaglia. For those of you who have never heard of Mr. Buscaglia, he was a well known author and professor. I had the privilege of corresponding with him several years ago. I had written him a letter after reading some of his books and on a whim I mailed him a letter never expecting to hear back from him. I was surprised when a few weeks later I received a letter from him. Even though we never got to meet in person I felt as if he was indeed a good friend. He was known as the Love Doctor and all his books were about loving each other and how simple it was to just love. He even taught a class at a university called learning how to love. You may think we should all know how to love each other but Leo had a way of making it sound even simpler. Leo passed away a few years ago but his legacy still lives on through his books and his foundation The Felice Foundation. But back to my story. As I was talking with my friend about Leo I blew out a big puff of cigar smoke and watched as it joined together and formed a double smoke ring. As it began to float away suddenly it shifted and made an almost perfect image of a big heart. I immediately shared that with my friend and told her what had happened. Jokingly I said , Well, I think Leo is with us right now! But later as I thought about it I was again reminded that Love can even be found in  a simple wisp of smoke. Just a reminder to me that no matter how bad this world can seem to be at times, beneath and through it all lies the unmistakable thread of Love. Here's hoping all of us can take these simple reminders of love and then take a moment and share it with as many folks a s we can. Let your love light shine! Never lose hope and remember that perfect love will cast out all fear and overcome any negative situation you may be faced with. May your days and nights be filled with all the love you can imagine!

How right you are Brother Christopher. I'm sure you can see some of my "controlled folly" at work here! I sure can! Thanks my friend.
