I AM THAT WHICH I AM

The following is excerpted from Living the Science of Mind, published by DeVorss & Company.
This should show you what "GOD" I believe in. And again I remind you--these are my beliefs and I am not trying to teach or preach to anyone. Just sharing for those who may be interested.

"I Am that which I Am. I Am the Eternal Presence of your own self. Thus there is no mediator between you and Myself but your own thought.
This I Am has been revealed to you in innumerable ways through the inspired writings of the ages. Each inspiration has been a proclamation that I Am is in the midst of you. I Am the writer, the inspirer, and the thing written about. I Am the Creator of history, and the One who experiences it. I Am its record and its interpretation. Everything which has ever transpired has but symbolized My Divine Presence at the center of all.
I Am within you is the only Presence there is. I create innumerable centers of My Consciousness personified as people, yet I Am is the thread of a Unity running through all, binding all back to Myself. Because I am a perfect Oneness, all of Me exists everywhere.Wherever you recognize Me, there I Am. And whether or not you recognize Me I am still there. This Divine Visitor, which is your True Self and which is That Which I AM, is both the one who stands at the door and knocks and the One whho opens the door.
It is teh glory of this recognization which has given to the enlightened true mastership. Do not look for masters outside of Me, or mediators between yourself and Myself. There is but One Self who needs no mediator. This Self is immediate, present, and available.

Any thought or belief which would seek to seperate That which I Am from that which you are would be an illusion, no matter how lofty its concept or how sacred its purpose. For it would seek to deny the ever-present I Am, the completeness of My Perfection, the God within you, the inspired thought back of your act.
Your True Self constitutes the only mediator between the visible and the Invisible. I Am that Self. Be still and know that you are one with Me, and My Being in you is your life. It is also your body, mind, and spirit; That which you have so ardently sought has never been separated from you for one moment. My desire within you to be expressed has been the motivating Power impelling and compelling you evermore to reach out, on, and up.
I Am the Christ dwelling at the center of every soul; human, yet Divine; Infinite, yet flowing through that which is apparently finite; unmanifest, yet forever manifesting; birthless and deathless, yet forever being born; timeless, I Am forever creating time. And you, the expression of Myself, appear to be separated from Me merely because you are a unique manifestation of Myself. For I Am that which you are and which all people are. I Am in all and I Am all.
When the recognition comes within you of this I Am That Which I Am, you will have discovered your true Savior, your true Sonship. and you will know that this Sonship is a prrojection of Myself, forever different from any other projection, immortal, yet forever expanding.

Here you find the True Ideal, the Cosmic Pattern, the Eternal Friendship of the soul to itself, the God who is personified, the Person who is God-in-man. And how great is this Divine riddle! How inscrutable is the Sphinx! Men have sought to solve this mystery---how can Unity and multiplicity exist together without division?
But now you have solved this mystery. You have compelled the Sphinx to answer her own question; she no longer devours you but, like circumstance, must bow to that Divinity within you, like all crated things, must acknowledge the supermacy of That Which I Am within you.
This mystery of unity and multiplicity without division I have proclaimed through the ages, but only the enlightened have understood My meaning; the unenlightened have not realized that those who did understand Me were even aas they. They believed them to be great prophets, great mediators governed by invisible masters, controlled by those whom they called saints.
But since I create both saint and sinner, know neither big nor little, good nor bad, and being ageless, since I create all ages, I Am that which reveals, and that which is revealed. And the stone which the builders rejected has overcome the chief stone of the corner. The vulgar did not know, and even the high priests failed to recognize, that the Ark of My Covenant was in the sanctuary of their own souls; that the Scroll of Life concealed in this Ark had inscribed on it merely the words I AM.

Dear Ronnie,

My name is Michele and I got your blog address from a friend. I have been reading through some of your writings off and on, and wonder if you can help me resolve a problem.

I haven't studied Science of Mind, but I want to believe the way you do. I like it in theory, but also get a bad feeling at the same time. I think it has to do with living my own way and setting my own standards. My sexual preferences are miles apart from what Christians teach, and I sometimes feel guilty. Maybe that's just because of my church background. It's a horrible place to be caught between what I want and what I perhaps shouldn't do.

After much thought and reading some of this blog and questions about Jesus, I think it has to do with what Jesus taught. LM asked you how to fuse the teachings of Jesus with Science of Mind. That is my main problem, I think. If Jesus was just a con, and lied about everything, I could move on, but I keep coming back to what Jesus said about these things. Please, Ronnie, help me sort this out. It's hell living with guilt and not being able to overcome it.

I'm not comfortable with the everything goes rules you suggested because Jesus clearly claimed that he was the only way to God. Science of Mind says there is no mediator between us and God. Both can't be right.

Thank you for any wisdom you can share.

BTW,My ex husband thinks he's a god, but it doesn't have anything to do with religion. :)

Part 1 - hey, cap, LM here. Excuse a moment - Michele you probably shouldn't have used your name about something so private. Some in your circle of frineds might see it like i do. DeeDee has my number. Please call me.

Cap, i guess you don't wanna talk to me anymore as you haven't responded to last questions. I don't want to be a nuisance, so will close out with this post. I didn't comment on this subject before, but now that friend has, i must.

I say this with great sincerity and in the spirit of humility. I am not trying to be mean, just truthful, and truth is painful. IKt was for me. You are embracing doctrines of devils that deny Jesus Christ as the Messiah, and in accordance with what the Bible says, not what someone else thinks. I am very concerned for you and your friends. Jesus is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn over all creation. Everything that exists was made by him, and he holds all things together. God was pleased to have his own fullness dwell in Jesus. We are reconciled to God by Jesus on the cross. This is the gospel first preached and its still valid. You can read it in Colossians chapter 1 and 2 about Christ's supremacy. chp 2 also warns us not to be taken captive by hollow and deceptive phiosphy. Philippians 2 says that Jesus did not consider equality with God something to be
grasped, and because of obedience, his name is above all others and every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.
Science of mind teaches that you are an acceptable part of god on your own merits without need of a mediator and contradicts everything the bible says. Satan aspires to be like god, and I suspect that it stems from satan himself. He is a clever fellow. I fear that you are walking around with a noose tied to your neck, and satan can jerk it anytime he's finished with you.
cap, you can't save yourself. science of mind cant save you. you say you're at peace, but I doubt it completely. you've as much said you can't know for sure until you die. Jesus made a safe way for all of us if we accept it. I encourge you to take it before satan yanks on the noose. Giving up eternity for today's complacency is a bad trade off.

Surely theres many reasons why you and others reject Jesus. It likely has to do with submission because we all love our sins and don't want to give them up. So its more convenient to adopt alternate beliefs that let us do what we want to do without accountability to god. Michele mentioned sexuality. Its just one thing of millions, but all of them can be overcome through Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, we oftren love our perversions more than we love God. Christians still struggle with sin, but we recognize the need for a Savior. That's the major difference. We humble ourselves before God and honor the One he chose to redeem us. science of mind philosphy elevates one to the status of god in order to justify sin.

Par 2 - If you find it hard to believe the bible, its likely because you don't know it. Bible history is rich in prophecy and applies still today.
More than 300 prophecies were made in the Old Testament and then fulfilled through Jesus' life, death and resurrection. The chances of one person fulfilling a mere 8 of these prophecies are 1 in 100 Zillion. For one person to fulfill 48 of these prophecies, the number becomes staggering--1 chance in 10 to the 157th power (1 with 157 zeros after it). Add to that the 250 other prophecies and it becomes impossible for any other person except Jesus to ever fit that particular sequence of time and events.

exp - The Old Testament said that a savior would be born in Bethlehem hundreds of year before he actuallly was. There are so many fulfilled prophecies. Such accuracy is astounding since the Old Testament was completed 450 years before Jesus was born. The prophecies were made in astonishing detail by many people throughout those initial books.

When you compare that with more recent man taught philosphy that can only offer up selfish gratification like science of mind, the Bible is a keeper. i ask you to put down the mind book and read the book of life for your own well being.

Praying for you. LM
