ANOTHER ENDING FOR THE STORY OF THE GARDEN OF EDEN

So the woman saw that the tree was good to eat from and a delight to the eye, and the serpent said to her,"Eat of it, for when you eat of it, you will be as wise as God." But the woman said,"No, God has commanded us not to eat of it, and I will not disobey God." And God called to the man and the woman and said to them, "Because you have hearkened to My word and not disobeyed My command, I shall reward you greatly." To the man he said, "You will never have to work again. Spend all of your days in idle contentment, with food growing all around you." To the woman he said, "You will bear children without pain and you will raise them without pain. They will need nothing from you. Children will not cry when their parents die,and parents will not cry when their children die." To both of them he said,"For the rest of your lives you will have full bellies and contented smiles. You will never cry and you will never laugh. You will never long for somethingyou don't have, and you will never receive something you always wanted." And the man and the woman grew old together inthe Garden, eating daily from the tree of life and having many children. And the grass grew high around the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil until it disappeared from view, for there was no one to tend it.

But I so love laughter. Let's rewrite it again....

yeah, cap, you got 'em laughing - laughing at the Biblical account of Genesis. not a laughing matter, cap. It is an affront to God himself. You should be ashamed. your arrogrance shows more and more with each new post. you are not so clever as you think. They saw you coming.

2 Peter 3:3 “…you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.”

1 Timothy 4:1 “…The spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons...”

2 Peter 1-3..”but there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.”

2 Timothy 3:6-7...” they are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.”

This is part of the gospel that saw you coming long, long ago. The gospel is not complete without it. It speaks for itself and is not open to personal interpretation. It makes the rebellious angry because it brings conviction and condemnation.

It is not just my personal opinion. 2 Cor 4: 5...”For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus sake.”

My dear LM You use harsh words describing a fellow human being who only copied down what someone else wrote. I am not the author of the story but I'm sure that doesnt mean yuo can't say whatever you want to about me. But I tell you I am not an affront to God, I am not ashamed of anything I believe in, and I most assuredly not an arrogant person. Look in the mirror my friend and if you dont like my blog then why dont you just stay the "hell" away? All that said I still wish for you and yours a very beautiful evening and new week ahead.

My dear Sarah and Chris thank you for once again stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment.BTW do either of you think Im arrogant, an affront to God, or maybe just the old devil himself?

Chris Ledgerwood said...

Nope. Now ask me about LM!

Chris Ledgerwood said...

Ronnie, Do you worm your way into homes and take captive weak willed women? LM seems to think so. shame shame!!!

Loved this alternative ending when I first read it because it tells us how blessed it is to live out the human experience! Yes it hurts at times but how blessed it is to see new life enter the world. The greatest moments of my life were witnessing the birth of my children. I fear for their safety daily yet I must let them explore the world to embrace their humanity.

Well Chris I cant seem to recall any time that I took advantage of weak willed women or men either one. I guess our friend LM is not going to apologize for saying all those "mean" things about me. I was wondering why he never commented when I wrote the other "heresey" by Richard Bach or by Rabbi Kushner. But he failed torealize that the story I wrote was a continuation of Kushner's story in his book so he jumped on me personally again. Why is he so quick to jump on me? I dont know cause all Ive ever wished for him is success and inner peace. Is it anywonder I quit going to "church" so many years ago? Thanks for stopping by Chris

cap, sorry i disappointed you by not responding sooner. a friend dropped by and read your comment and told me about it so here i am again. i'm not after you to harm you or insult you. i simply quoted what the bible says about people who scoff and introduce false doctrines. you are wearing that shoe, so i guess you felt the heat. interesting that you focus on one that may not literally apply to you about women, but the intent is the same to influence. also interesting that you dont want to take responsbiiity for what you post - you lay it off on someone else. that doesnst excuse you because you endorse and promote it. now, really, i'm not your enemy, satan is, but you cant see that right now. you need someone in your life that will speak directly to you about the foolishness you endorse, else you just keep getttin furhter from the truth. i hope that person comes into your life soon. you know the gospel of Jesus, and you know God's judgment that waits for those who reject Christ. (if you don't believe God's testimony about Jesus, then you are calling God a liar). You have made your choice. I hope it serves you well in this life, but the transistion from life to death will be fierce. i wont bother you again unless you poke fun at my words again. and, listen, its a joke when you blame me for your not going to church. what kind of idiots do you think read this blog? you dont go to church because you love you own way, not because of me or others like me who quote the word of God. goodbye, cap, enjoy.

captron52 said...

Now my readers are "idiots" I sure dont agree! I think they are well adjusted smart kind folks who are not afraid to consider other alternatives other than those taught by the church. A good day to you Lm

there you go again. I did not say anyone is an idiot. In context, I asked if you think any of us are idiots to not see your spin on not going to church. you must be spinning on purpose. your friends may offer comfort now, but cap, you are no different than I am, and you will stand before God alone. your friends won't be there to offer false comfort. it'll just be you and the real God of Heaven and Earth who judges all of humanity through Jesus Christ. Good luck.

and I just can hardly waith for my day of "judgement"

Chris Ledgerwood said...

Wow, it never ends! Cap, why don't you just block him?
